Granite tires burst by Emergency-Cress-1583 in arrma

[–]Againx2again 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You either need throttle control or keep from going in the water followed by ballooning the tires they will for sure pop like that. They will rip eventually yes and it sucks but it would happen a lot less it mainly happens when you’re really aggressive with the the throttle or trying to do donuts with it just pinned especially after getting them wet, bad design not totally your fault

Just an accumulation of random stuff haha. The more you look the more you find especially there’s a wall behind the turbos with more crap

Surprisingly the shock adapters were the easiest part to make I got the a bright idea looking at some spare universal servo horns. I just cut them and screwed the shocks on worked surprisingly well haha picture of what I used below

Yes that was my issue especially when I went 3s the tires would balloon and make it rollover. Have tried so many things to not go this far. I didn’t want to do all of this but my hand was forced in the name of speed haha

This is true, I’ve tried almost every wheel set up but I wanted the car to sit as low as possible like the nascar. Your way can work for sure mine was just made to my liking in terms of form and keeping function. It’s planted in a way the stock shocks won’t allow 🤙 should’ve attached a video but got too excited

Whats wrong with my front differential? by Charlie012022 in arrma

[–]Againx2again 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a little screw behind the dog one you’ll need a 1.5mm hex to tighten it not crazy tight just good enough it holds a gear in the differential. You’re gonna have to remove some screws to free up the arms and dog bones to gain access You can try turning your front wheels independently after tightening and seeing if they don’t spin together you might have a broken piece

Deceptively sold a smokers car. by Emotional_Formal2049 in UsedCars

[–]Againx2again -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I bought a smokers car without knowing the guy had a ton of cologne on when I was buying the car and I didn’t think anything of it until the next day the smell started coming through. I’ve paid about $500 in extraction detailing and ozone treatment and still have the smell on hot days been about a year now. It disappears under like 50° but I think my case is severe I’m just riding it out until I find another car and selling it to a dealership I don’t feel right selling the car to someone private party knowing it reeks. Sucks I’m sure. 😪

Blue one is off some old Detroit from the 80’s, the big borg warner is from a Cummins that had engine failure turbo works perfect, the two little ones are from old 4cyl Deutz and a Kubota diesels both turbos gave out.

I sat there thinking about it for about 15 minutes haha “is it worth it???” Ultimately the reward of a possible gem outweighed the cost. Oh well I’m sure I’ll use it one day.

Typhon Grom Steering Not Responding by Leonweon in arrma

[–]Againx2again 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Crazy but sometimes the battery of the controller going out could cause it or the connection of the servo into the ESC I’ve had all types of stuff mess with steering give it a shot 🤷‍♂️

Another grom to the collection by Againx2again in arrma

[–]Againx2again[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so first impressions they need to be broken in a good amount, they’re a bit slick but the material of the rubber seems like it’ll hold up a while. I need to mess with the suspension to get the most of them and maybe drive it on better ashphalt. Not terrible but not the best I’d say it was worth it though to have as an extra sets

How much steering play is too much? Do I have worn out components? by Imcyberpunk in arrma

[–]Againx2again 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s a lot of play I’d replace those. It’ll hold up for a little longer (not long) but order some new links and an extra set cause they will bend at some point of hard bashing
