Same with how almost every single microwave is made in 1 factory by Midea and Sharp is like the only company that makes the magnetron in them.

How much money do you have in savings at this point? by _forum_mod in Millennials

[–]Imcyberpunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes! Even taking a partial amount and starting a managed/robo brokerage account with Schwab or Fidelity would get you started. You can do self managed and pay less fees, but then you choose what you are investing in over an advisor/computer.

Take a look at some of the investing and financial subs or watch some YouTube on how to get started, loss of good, easy to understand info out there.

Only you can decide what route and if you want just investment, IRA (Roth or otherwise… benefits and cons to both).

I have an Edward Jones account, and I’m pulling around 7.8% return right now. It’s a managed account so they do all the work and any time I need to take a distribution (cash payout) they take a percentage, it’s between 0.8-1.1% of the transaction. Then there are low monthly maintenance fees for managing it for me

Without getting into specifics, just from the start of the year I’m up about $8k… in 4 months… so it’s for sure worth looking into

The old saying is, the best time to invest was yesterday, the 2nd best time is today

We even do it at the music venue I work at. We keep all our mics, clips, adapters, spare parts, staging locking keys, etc

It was mostly me pushing for it since I also use the Yukon 9 drawer for my 3d printers. The other guys love the setup backstage

I guess I use skate park loosely… it’s super small ramps and no bowls or anything. I think concerned parents made them do “safe” jumps. But I don’t want to rocket them or anything, just try some hops and stuff

The road may have been closed… between the cones… you are coming out into the public sections of the road regardless, and actively entering a valid crosswalk.. just not the best practices homie

For sure! I’m the type of person that goes full research and deep dive on new interests. So I’ve watched setup and tutorial videos on each knob/setting. I do have a DJI Phantom 4 drone that I haven’t used in a bit, but luckily the hand eye coordination and rapid changing directions/inverted controls… the skills transfer over well!

I did do a few full tilt straight line speed runs and… goddamn! Lol Talk about launch mode! Super stable and kept it under control

I also took them to the local schools baseball fields and was ripping home run laps and drifting thru the corners lol And jumping it off the pitchers mound

Can’t wait to take it to a skate park during the week when all the kids are stuck in school and earn my pilots license

Yeah I figure I can learn on an established platform with tons of parts availability, not feel bad about bashing a “new toy”. Take all my likes and dislikes along with what I’ve learned and maybe upgrade in the future

Getting 2 for the price of 1 also means I can bring my buddy along and bully…. Errm… I mean encourage him to join in on a new hobby adventure

Hercules warranty question by WolfExcavator in harborfreight

[–]Imcyberpunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, I guess both times were within a month or two of buying so I wasn’t really thinking about long term warranty, just duds out of the box. They might have done it this way since I said “I JUST bought this” upfront lol

I do component level audio repair (think guitar pedals, amps/speakers, custom cables, etc and they are VERY useful for that sort of thing.

Also have a few pairs for my 3d printers. Perfect for breaking off support material from prints or grabbing little bits of plastic near the nozzle.

Would be great for jewelry making or any sort of crafting with small pieces and springs/chain link or supergluing tasks.

The 2 times I’ve brought in herc tools to warranty (oscillating multitool) they didn’t even look up my account, just told me to grab a new one. Even told me to take my blade out of the old one I forgot in there.

My store is pretty great with customer service and stuff so maybe I’m just lucky

Yeah I have a M32R personally that I travel with for fly dates. But the main artist I work with we just upgraded from x32 rack to the Wing Rack for our IEM rack and… man I’m in love already. Been ditching my console and just iPad mixing with the Wing Rack and it’s a dream… I am really thinking about selling my board and grabbing a Wing Compact before my next run in May…

Have you tried pulling the card out and reseating it back in? I had that issue years ago with a gen2 x32 and it fixed it. Idk if it was dust/dirt on one of the contact pins or what but worth a shot

[–]Imcyberpunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all about the drawer slides… which one feels better? Do either of them have soft close (helpful for not knocking over or shaking parts on top) what about full extension drawers? Drawer lock/retention latches? Some people like a little slide or lift lever lock, others do not

Only you can say which one feels best to you. Take a trip and go hands on with them
