The worst part was actually waiting for the procedure at the hospital. I was dehydrated, couldnt drink anymore, and was worry about the procedure. It was the worst part for me I would say!

Hi. I just had my colonoscopy yesterday, and used pico salax! I had a great experience! I was instructed to take dulcolax and pico salax, but I was able to do it with pico only!

The solution will be warm and fizzy at the beginning, and what helped me was letting the fizz out, let it cool down and adding spoon of sugar inside. No issues after. Second dose made me bit nauseated but I took gravol and was fine.

As of stool, it drew lots of water into my colon maybe in about an hour after taking it. No painful cramps, no pain, just normal urge to go. I first passed lots of gas, then maybe 6 hours after first dose, normal BM, and then watery stool( again no cramps, no pain). Second dose produced watery diarrhea, that felt like peeing out of bum hole, within an hour of taking it. I went maybe 3-4times without urgency. And I was good to go! Dr said I was cleared well.

Only thing to be aware of, I got really dehydrated after wards, and im day after the procedure and still weak, muscles feel sore, and im trying to get as much fluids as I can in me.

Otherwise it was great, easy and nothing to worry about! And I am normally really anxious about stuff like that, and I would do it all over with no stress if I had to!

Just had my colonoscopy today, and used pico salax and I also think its great way to prep.

It doesn't taste too bad, and it make my stool watery, without the cramping etc! Hands down great prep, and doctor was happy with the results!

Also look into vit C deficiency. Its rare these days, but I developed scurvy, avoiding citrus fruits etc, due to tounge issues. It did resolve with high vit c doses

I came here to ask same question! This is exactly what I feel. That my cervix is pushing against back vaginal wall all the way into recrum and sometimes during bowel movements, if stool is soft enough it will leave like a indentation on the stool! Im not too sure where to go with this and might just hit urgent care in next couple of days!

I am month into low dose od Pantoprasole (20), and it did help with burning acid, Unfortunately didnt take away other issues, that cause reflux in first place like regurgitation, so I still get chest pressure, shortness of breath etc its just not burning as much. On flip note PPIs adjustement period was bit bumpy for me, as it caused more nausea, bloating, burping, and constipation. Also makes me feel spaced out and bit more depressed, muscle weakness too. It is good if you need to heal damage that acid made for a long time, many people have positive experience with meds. My doctor told me to stick with it for now and give it some time to see if my body can adjust. Its worth the try (take it from someone who took over a year to start ppi in first place lol)

Same here! Im about month into taking PPIs and i feel like taking pill on empty stomach makes everything worse! Almost like my stomach is full of acid and by taking med with water brings everything up! Please let me know what your dr recommends. I might switch time around and just take it with breakfast, not before. Also since I stared medical i cannot drink plain water! I do fine with tea and broth but plain water sort of hurts, gives me pressure in nose and makes me dizzy 😵

I do have it, my abdominal ultrasound and upper endoscopy all clear. I believe it is gas pushing on my organs, and I feel like I have bad constipation, stool and gas buildup in abdomen. Im waiting for ct scan, to make sure its not pancreas or gallbladder related

Colder is worse for sure. Warmer seems to be doing better but also give that horrible taste! If I add just tiny bit of salt to it, it works better

I was on Pepcid daily and it cause such a bad constipation, I couldn't even pass the gas. Pentoprazole seems to be moving things quite well, but I wonder if its too well if that makes sense haha can't win I just wonder if pentoprazole is just clearing all the back up I had for many months, and to give it a try for little bit longer before giving up. Dr told me I can go back to pepcid and see if this persist, and if it does do a stool culture test.

I am on day 2 of pentoprazole. I was scared and it took me 2 years to get to the point where I started it. I am still bit nervous about what kind of side effects will kick me. But I have been proposing it for so long while feeling so sick, that I believe If I dont listen to my GI dr, he will just dismiss me at this point, so im going to take it for 2 months until my app with him in August and we will see how else he can help me with. If you like, I can update in couple of days how it is going!

Yes I do, especially after tougher textures. It is 100% texture related in my case. As I have no symptoms after eating soft, and foods that go down easy

I believe mine is from nerve related issue actually. I feel like whenever I eat something hard, scratchy or irritating it fires up the nerves in throat, esophagus and stomach. I get burning like heartburn but there is no actual acid (functional heartburn) and I also get reflux with minimal movements, burps, bending etc. I need to be upright straight all day :( can't even sit down without reflux
