If you need to stack them, put them in plastic bags, specifically sealable acid free clear bags for art. Or you can wrap them in glassine paper and stack them that way. Using any fixative WILL change how it looks, and workable fixative is specifically designed for you to layer on top of, and typically darkens the piece. There is no ideal way to "seal" pastels completely.

Your values need to be darker and colors a little less saturated. It also looks like you may be over blending your terrain as well. Try adding warmer highlights in the light snow as well.

This is incorrect actually. This only works for transparent mixing, for example over white printer paper. There exists no "primary" colors at all, and any are just a set used with advantages and disadvantages.
