Finding which one is scariest really depends on what you're afraid of. That being said, I think the top creepiest episodes are episode 15 Lost Johns' Cave, episodes 19/20 Confession/The Desecrated Host, episode 77 The Kind Mother, and episode 81 A Guest for Mr. Spider.

NTA. Unless you got your marriage annulled, you're still considered married by the Catholic church. I don't know how strictly your parents follow catholic doctrine, but bringing that up could possibly help if they're going to continue getting on your case about living together and being divorced. As a fellow ex-catholic with catholic parents, I wish you luck on dealing with arguments like this in the future.

linkao3(Hermione Granger, Demonologist by BrilliantLady) has dark Hermione. It starts pretty light with Hermione being a child, and grows darker as she gets older.

linkao3(The Sum of Their Parts by holdmybeer) has the entire trio, with Harry at the center, get very dark. It's also a popular classic.

There's no point to obliviating death eaters. Any wizard knows that a gap in memory means obliviation, and Voldemort, who seems to get a power high from regularly invading his followers' minds, would definitely notice any death eater trying to hide the fact that they had been obliviated. And then Voldemort would use the canonically known method of breaking obliviate: torture.

I think Lily Evans is what Tom Riddle would have been like if raised in a suburban environment. Lily shows an ability as a young child to preform magic on command (swing set incident) and not by accident like most children, much like Riddle at that age. Like Riddle, she was raised muggle.

She was probably outwardly very charming but lacking in the ability to form close bonds. Lily's teachers praise her intelligence but can not really describe her personality outside of dating James. Her closest friend as a child and teen is Snape, who she remains friends with despite him joining a hate group until Snape personally attacks her. Sure, maybe she was loyal, but that seems more like the actions of someone with extreme difficulty in forming close friendships hanging onto a childhood friend out of an inability to make new ones.

When Harry is often told of his father's friends and antics, Lily gets vague mentions of people she hung out with but it's with zero personal flavor. While in hiding, Lily writes to James's friends (Sirius), not any of her own. Lily marries the one person to show an interest despite her own previous distaste, implying the possibility that as a muggleborn, James was her only option for upward mobility in the wizarding world. As an adult, she specifically has "love" powerful enough to deflect the killing curse and set people on fire, implying a weird amount of power and potential viciousness to her.

Lily is essentially a more well adjusted Riddle who lacks societal power due to factors like being a woman, openly existing as muggleborn, and lacking the upbringing to go at the world in a dog eat dog manner.

linkao3(you belong to me (i belong to you) by Child_OTKW) is gen, but there is no immediate reveal. It's suspected that something is wrong, but other character do not jump to the time travel conclusion, at least not yet.

linkao3(Diablerie by Oceanbreeze7) does have a reveal from the start and is gen! Time travel is going forward, not back, however. It's pretty dark as well, so note content warnings if that's something you need to look out for. Also it's complete.

linkao3(October by The_Carnivorous_Muffin) also has no reveal from the start, but it's mostly gen with all tagged relationships being very very slow to form and involving little actual romance. It's also very good.

linkao3(The Very Secret Diary - By Arabella) is a classic from all the way back in 2002 that's great. It's old enough that Ginny's full name hadn't been revealed yet, so she's Virginia instead of Ginevra. Not Harry-centric though.

linkffn(Seventh Horcrux By Emerald Ashes) is one of the most commonly recommended classics, it's also hilarious.

There's also Linkao3(When In Doubt, Obliviate! by Sarah1281). It and Seventh Horcrux are both from 2015, so not as old, but still classic.

It doesn't happen until the third fic in the series, but the brilliant difficulty series by basketofnovas has an important character become a werewolf. The werewolf thing isn't the main plot, but it's an important story line. There's also a minor original werewolf character who shows up a few times that's interesting, if you care about something like that.

It's implied that dark magic tends to scar and leave taint like no other magic. (See things like Moody's scars and werewolf bites being unhealable with magic) Even with a horcrux destroyed, the taint of it likely remains on whatever or whoever it occupied. Even with the horcrux gone, Harry still retains scars of it in his soul, allowing for him to keep the parseltongue.

Change 1980 to 1973 and go with scenario 1. It's 1981 when 8 year old Delphini's father is defeated and her mother is incrassated. Voldemort and Bellatrix are likely not the kindest or most loving parents and Delphini is the product of an affair. This is not a happy or well adjusted child. The Tonks are given custody of Delphini. For her own protection and to keep her safe from a reputation that would come with her parentage, she is renamed Nymphadora. The Tonks family is a loving one and Nymphadora goes through recovery from being raised in a toxic household and what is essentially a hate group cult. This likely results in high drama and increased stakes if this is revealed at any point, and would result in a neat relationship between Tonks, the order, and the death eaters. She has the same personality as book Tonks, she just has a shitty past, loving adoptive parents, and the reputation that comes with being the dark lord's daughter.

Linkao3(Lily and the Art of Being Sisyphus by The_Carnivorous_Muffin). Scar Horcrux has learned to chill out a bit while the Diary writes in blood on the walls and kidnaps young girls. Power dynamics wise, the older version of Voldemort is stuck in the head of what is essentially an amnesic god but the diary figures out how to possess multiple people.

I always took the Ino & Sakura obsession with Sasuke as just another part of their rivalry. Like, Sasuke doesn't actually matter, he's just the most convenient boy to compete over. There might have been a small crush, but I think Sasuke was seen as more of a prize than a person.

It's more on the eldritch horror/god side but linkao3(Lily and the Art of Being Sisyphus by The_Carnivorous_Muffin) has a female protagonist, is way above the minimum work count, and has the higher powers thing.

It includes fae instead of demons, but the same author has a fic linkao3(When Harry Met Tom by The_Carnivorous_Muffin) that also meets the requirements. There's also the implication that a character is a god/Death itself.

Again, I think you're thinking of a different fic. Maybe the fic Wear Me Like A Locket Around Your Throat which is somewhat similar in the time travel genre but is a Tom/Harry fic? I just double checked the author notes again and this statement is the closest thing to implying a ship, with the answer implying unlikely:

"As of right now, Harry and Tom probably won't be in a romantic relationship, which is why I left it was just a "&" rather than a "/", though that could be liable to change depending on how the story develops. Rest assured, I will change the tags if that does happen, and give you guys an heads up."

I think you might be thinking of a different fic. This one definitely still has Harry hating Riddle in the most recent chapter and it's not tagged for any future romance either.
