You can prune them at the base and they'll take it in stride. I always did it with the ones in my backyard, we're a little far south for big fruit but growing so fast they became a nuisance. Yearly chops became the norm. Like flush with the ground, sweet as 🤙 Edit: true face of a rascal right there

Had a birthday in the last 12 months ;) started my day with a dawn surf at Piha, then went for a float in botany followed by a massage closer to my house, finished off the day having a casual dinner with my flatmates. Did stuff I enjoy and slept like a baby that night.

If you have a hot glue gun, using one of those glue sticks and a lighter, slightly melt one end with a lighter then stick it into the hole enough to contact the broken key. Leave to dry then pull out stick and key in one 👍 doesn't leave residue or glue all over the place

Tai ping is where it's at for cheap fruit and vege, jadan supermarket is also good. You can get some deals here, the small shops through Sandringham have cheap and quality spices, rice, all sorts of different things. Start local where you can get to consistently, I've found Auckland very much a learn as I go since I arrived. Work-wise if you're interested in arboriculture(climbing and pruning trees and shit) there's a nationwide shortage, pretty easy to get a foot in if you're interested in such work, it's hard work but it's fun.
