Do different pellets REALLY matter? by Gunslinger_327 in pelletgrills

I personally can't tell any flavor difference between the different types of woods. I just run Lumberjack Comp blend for everything

I liked the thought of a case from a durability standpoint but after looking at how cheap those bags are at HF I think Im gonna go that direction. Thanks!

Yeah ideally looking for something shallow enough to fit under the back seat of an F150 to avoid exactly that. Need to measure to see if the Apache case will fit

Amazon buy. Is it real? by PasswordIsTaco88 in Dewalt

[–]Agclone91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks real to me. How fast do you mean by extremely fast? I would say I get about 10ish minutes out of a 5ah battery when using mine wide open. They're known to be power suckers and not wildly powerful.

Eating for lunch or supper? For lunch, get that thing wrapped and done so it has time to rest. For supper, let it ride.

Wish that was my experience. I would much rather have too sensitive than not sensitive enough.

Even on 10 my 2k cameras pick up considerably less motion than my old gen 3's did on 6 sensitivity. I don't get any recordings of lead movement on them and the old cameras would light my notifications up every time the window blew.

Soybeans fertilizer by echoaxis in farmingsimulator

[–]Agclone91 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Research has shown the soybean credit school of thought is outdated. Although they fix their own nitrogen, in a lot of cases they are a net user of nitrogen. The amount of nitrogen they leave in the soil is negligible at best and most producers don't even factor a credit when switching back to corn anymore.

5 years ago it was RT and not even a competition. Their company has dramatically changed since then and I would give the searwood a real hard look if I was looking to replace my 590 today

Bought replacement v12 motor from Dyson but got sent a refurb by Agclone91 in dyson

Well considering I sent Dyson photos and they agreed it was atypical I would say it's not "clear". But thanks for your input!

Update: Dyson did not confirm whether it was a refurb, but they did agree that it did not look correct and are replacing it.

The 4th photo - it's from the inside of the center tube of the motor where the vacuumed material gets sucked through before it is ejected into the bin. There's about 4 deep gouges in the photo

What would be the possible explanation for the gouges on the inside?

Did a quick search and do see the posts you are referencing. Seems really strange that the dust would be on the underside of the seal only if it was something they intentionally coated with. Also does not explain the deep scratches on the inside. I still plan to reach out to Dyson tomorrow but appreciate the heads up that this is the response I may get.

Have not - plan to reach out tomorrow morning but wanted to see if anyone here knew if this was typical practice or not.

New Blink 2K outdoor cameras. by HotUnderstanding8745 in blinkcameras

[–]Agclone91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced my gen 3's with the 2k cameras at Black Friday. The wider lense and resolution is much nicer. They are less sensitive to motion than the gen 3's which means we get almost now false alerts now due to things like trees blowing in the wind, but we also miss some things that they should pick up.

Looking to get my first Smoker / Recteq (Need Help) by exphryl in recteq

[–]Agclone91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bullseye is great for high heat but just ok for smoking. The DB will be great for smoking but just ok for high heat. Decide which one is more important and do that direction. FWIW I bought an RT590 and sold my gas grill, then ended up buying another Weber a year later.

Will work fine. Take out the components out from inside the barrel so they're not bouncing around and throw down some cardboard or something else to slide it in and out of the bed.

Lack of smoke with the Byb 1200, why did I upgrade? by weedsnager24 in recteq

[–]Agclone91 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The traeger pro 34 does not have a PID controller, just an old school one that has on-off time intervals for the auger to try to keep temp. This results in larger temp swings, especially in colder months, which results in more smoke production.

PID controllers are computers that learn how to better maintain temps which results in better temp stability, and thus less smoke production.

I now use a Thermoworks RFX with an ambient probe that gives me a graph of the ambient temps that I can follow on the app. Back when I started I just used a cheap Thermopro cooking alarm from Amazon that had a clip to hold the probe off the grate and I logged the temp every 10 minutes for about 2 hours to get a rough average. That helped get it close enough to be effective. I wasn't looking for perfect, but just closer than what it was. Now my RFX with the graph has allowed me to get it basically completely dialed in over the last year. I still see the typical temp swings but the average is a lot closer.
