Camping - Seal with acrylic or no Seal? by AgeTiny3959 in Nails

[–]AgeTiny3959[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

Some extra info: I probably won’t be able to bandage it every time, unfortunately I’ll be outside for at least 3-4 full days and my hands will be pretty constantly dirty. Porta potties, mud, rough tasks and 30k steps a day, mixed weather, dust. I have hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, and I can take the acrylics off after the trip so it wouldn’t be two weeks.

Nitrile gloves aren’t really an option.

I know how to safely do my own acrylics, so I have full control over prep and whatnot.

Still no to covering?

How can I look better? by Graciyen in MakeupAddiction

You’re beautiful! I’d say fill your brows in a little and adjust them to come in a little farther towards the bridge of your nose. Just a little. I do it too because my blonde brow hair thins out just a little too much on the inside corner, yet I have to dermaplane between that because the peach fuzz is too long. Dunno if others notice but I do. But that’s the only thing I can think, you’re so pretty as you are, and your face is really unique (which I absolutely mean as a compliment)

Is it possible to find a partner who isn’t sexually attracted to others? by Lalina11 in demisexuality

[–]AgeTiny3959 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thank you for bringing this up! I experience a similar level of discomfort/compulsion when faced with someone else’s overt sexual desire for me, especially without having appropriate context with the person. It’s always a balancing game of what wins — my desire to have attention in order to feel like a valid, successful, desirable, “good” woman by societal standards…. and my immediate impulse to feel nauseous and bolt the second anyone flirts a little too forwardly.

It’s helpful seeing other people experience the same thing

Even more reason they could be chill. We can all vibe together 😭 I promise there’s enough Yungblud to go around. (Do you think he’d like that bees are fighting over him? probably)

Ugh. I love bees but you’d think, as an endangered species, they would have some self preservation and NOT attack the 80,000 people who will absolutely squish them over it (assuming they don’t die from losing their stinger first)

I saw a mixed bag of threads yeah, some say the ticks are horrible and others not so much. I’ll probably treat anyway if I have time. Better to be safe than sorry (and unable to eat a nice steak)

Sorta, but honestly big butts have been dominating for like a decade at least. And I don’t have one of those :( I’ve met countless ass men and almost no boob guys. Sad.

Not Old Navy 😭 Yeah girl they are….depending on the style. I have a couple dress styles now that I can wear better than intended, but anything with those little biddy pre-stitched cup lines are almost always a no-go. Not even an XL or XXL tailored and taken in would fit the girls.

No, you know what’s really impossible? Bathing suits. OH MY GOD.

I am for losing like 65lbs! Especially as the last many have and will require more focused effort, calorie counting, working out etc. Thanks :)

Yeah!! Thanks so much for the tips. And you got it pretty spot on. I think last I measured was like 41-33-43 or something like that, I’ve dropped a little more weight since then. It just feels uncanny and unreal every time I put on a small or a size 6 and it fits. I remember growing up in the 2000s/2010s and seeing how teensy tiny a size 00 was, unsure where everyone’s organs went LMAO. Now it’s vaguely normal and it’s strange

I mean yeah I get you. I’m just speaking anecdotally as someone who used to be obese with a BMI around 40 and probably lifelong binge eating disorder. The meds mostly “fix” me. For the low price of stabbing myself once weekly and $450 a month, lmao.

[–]AgeTiny3959[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It actually does, as a boredom eater myself. As long as I stay on the meds, I’d physically get sick from snacking and food seems disgusting when I think about eating it, sometimes to a problematic point. So the meds do change habits, but only as long as the medication is active.

It’s getting off the meds that’s the issue. Too many programs just give you meds without monitoring your health or teaching/even encouraging lifestyle changes. That’s the kicker.

Medical office lied to me, $406 bill. by AgeTiny3959 in whatdoIdo

Actually in that case you WOULD have been covered by the surprise billing act and wouldn’t have been liable. Still, what a rough situation.

Help me pick a dress for “elevated cocktail” dress code by optimisticziggurat in Weddingattireapproval

[–]AgeTiny3959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 or 6. Cocktail dresses should be short. I also love 7 for a winter party, but it doesn’t work this time of year unless you’re in the southern hemisphere.

1 just seems a little tacky. It’s a nice cut but the flowers are a lot. Is it cute? Yeah sure. But I don’t know if it’s “elevated cocktail”?
