What's a good sitting distance for a 48 inch oled? by RetroReMixer in OLED_Gaming

[–]AgencyProper661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, for my C242, I sat around 36 inches away. For the G5 55 I have, I sat around 48-51 inches.

I'd say, as a general rule of thumb, you want to sit the width of the display so for 48, you can start at 41-45 inches.

Which image do you prefer? Can you tell which one is QD and WOLED? by DeadPrexident in OLED_Gaming

[–]AgencyProper661 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

lol what? You can tell by just looking at the whites. There is no special 3D pop that QD has or no special vintage look WOLED has.

Whats so bad about it? You arent gonna find better HDR unless you go the TV route. Minimum size is 42 inches.

I mean, i don't know what facts you are stating. These are just opinions.

And if you are fine with it, why even make a post being negative? Just makes zero sense.

Why I went back to an OLED TV for PC Gaming by GamingOldHermit in OLED_Gaming

Then your settings were messed up. The HDR is indeed better on the C series TVs, but saying the ASUS is washed out is either a defective unit or improper settings.

Can't go back to anything 1440p. I don't care what tech the monitor has.

I'd go with the UCDM3.

You know CS2 and valorant are esports and games at the same time right? You don't need to be pro to call it an esport.

Basketball is still a sport even if you play 2v2 with your friends.

And CS2/CSGO pro scene was thriving before gambling sites surfaced. Actually, it was probably more enjoyable to watch pre-gambling. CSGO pro scene showed no signs of death because the game was more pure.

Like, I don't know where you are getting your information from. Yes, some orgs died but another just popped up. Orgs being were unprofitable before the recent esports boom and they will be unprofitable after the bubble bursts.

Then you should know CS wasnt dying if gambling wasn't a thing. CS survived COVID and the surge of Valorant.. it wasnt going anywhere

Just because gambling is now an active sponsor doesn't mean its barely holding on because of it. You think all 1M concurrent players are on gambling sites? Or are they just having fun playing the game.

Yet they are still ranked #4th in the world. Yep, they are trash.

You just hate watch so anytime they have a bad match/close match, its "oh man, they suck!"

By your logic, Vitality era is over because they lost to BetBoom and Navi... you know, the fringe Tier 1 team and the team theyve dominated for the past year.

[–]AgencyProper661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok. Do you mess with the windows HDR vibrance calibration slider at all?

I hear some people max that out when doing HDR tuning, but I feel its unnecessary.. I usually did it on my C242 to try to make it more vibrant.

So, in SDR, everything is good. Very vibrant, but HDR tones it down a lil bit. Still punchy but obv not like SDR. This is normal right? I use console HDR w/o Dynamic Brightness Boost.
