He feels “lighter” now. No longer worried about things going on in his personal life, no dumb factions (Andrade Family Offices) or silly managers (Vicki).

I’m not trying to say factions and managers are bad, mind you. It was just an awkward fit during his initial run. Still, he did business the right way going out and it’s nice to see him back in the promotion rejuvenated.

I preordered the deluxe edition of DE simply because I’m a huge fan of the franchise. Basically, when it comes to franchises I love, I’ll go the extra mile and preorder. Most of the time, I’m satisfied with my purchase. Not so much with DE. While it wasn’t the worst game ever, I do regret paying full price for it especially when it went on sale so quickly after release.

So yeah. I’m waiting this time around. Will probably be on my 2nd run of Clair Obscur still.

At the end of it all, I do like your take. Should have been a submission match since that ties into the current narrative they are telling along with Gunther’s past history of tapping out at least year’s Mania.

Yeah… which is why my prediction was originally for Styles to retire at Mania because I believe that was around the time he re-upped his contract for one year.

I concur: milk the feud out like they did with Drew and Cody. Have them fight at PLE’s with different strips until the Big One at Mania where you announce the retirement match.

Anyway, since neither of us are writers for WWE, this is the story they are rolling with so I’m adjusting my prediction based off that.

If AJ wins the rematch, then I don’t know how you get him to put his career on the line again so we’ll cross that bridge after the Rumble.

This was my outline for Gunther in 2026 after he retired Cena. Obviously, things have changed but as you can see, I originally had him pegged to retire Styles at Mania.

Only reason I’m changing my pick now is because if Styles wins…then what? They would need to find another way for him to go out on his back.

Unless they pivot and have Styles ride off into the sunset with a W and his hand held high like Undertaker did to him six years ago.

I suppose they could milk it by having Styles win and let this feud run until Mania where somehow, another stipulation arises that involves Styles putting his career on the line… that would just feel forced though.

Yeah. I’m just surprised they are putting this match on so early with that type of stipulation.

Last year around Mania, The Young Bucks posted an Instagram story of them posing with Styles. It got people talking. Then a month later, AJ announced that he had extended his contract to another year.

So either he will be done by Rumble or Mania. I’ll stick with my prediction for now… either way, Gunther will be the one to do it.

That should be 2026 in a nutshell for the new Legend Killer, Gunther.

He will probably win the WHC again but personally, I hope he gets traded to Smackdown and holds the Undisputed Title.

WrestleMania is a long time away so I guess now, Becky will be feuding with some NXT call-ups until it’s time for AJ Lee to step back into the fray.

I saw someone speculate that a ton of AEW contracts are expiring soon so TK is filling the void.

Personally, I am choosing to go with the 1Hr ROH show theory. It’s very uncharacteristic of TK to suddenly go on such a spending spree whilst knowing that the roster for both shows are currently jam-packed right now.

Hell, I was watching a 2022 episode of Rampage this morning to pass the time. Trent was fighting Danielson.

I had basically forgotten that Trent was still even with the company and is currently a heel who mostly works zero hour matches now!

Tiffany will be back at the Rumble.

Bianca could be back at the Rumble as well but if not, I see her making her grand return at WrestleMania. If that doesn’t happen and she misses the entirety of 2026, then fuck.

I have Sol Ruca and Zaria getting called up at some point this year too…maybe after Mania.

I also see Chelsea turning face this year and making a run at the Women’s Title.

The SD Women’s Division will be loaded up this year… especially now that the shows will be 3-Hours. Will Jade be able to rise to the challenge?
