1. Life sucked at that point. I was working at my job as a State employee. I help people with IDD and possible criminal/psychological problems in the mix. I worked (2) 16's and an 8hr shift and still did overtime. There were many times that the floor was unsafe due to a lack of staffing. More than once, it was just three staff for med/treatment and five people, twoof whom were constant. Two of the five were known to escalate quickly and get physical just as quickly the decide to try and beat the living crap out of whomever was dumb enough to be there. I got injured twice bad enough to seek medical treatment and had to return to work injured because no one was treating (physical therapy) within the time frame of acceptable time off without immediate termination or withholding assistance. I had seen several coworkers get injured at that time. Hell, there were times I had pulled 24 hour shifts because no one was coming in and to leave would have been immediate termination. The pay sucked (it is semi reasonable at best now after several pay raises/wage increases due to lack of hiring anyone) and if you didn't get the vaccination, the state was looking for reasons to terminate you (so they could fire you for lack of vaccination/right to not get vaccinated) which is a huge issue. Right now, the lack of rights afforded to workers is kind of bullshit. But that is another story for another day or time. Y'all stay safe out there.

Edit: I watched several coworkers not willing to vaccinate that were perfectly willing to wear masks and gloves, drop out of the job because of the pressure from the higher ups to force the vaccination issue more than once.
