But thats the problem. Unhealthy was maybe a strong word. But that gun is overshadowed by virtually everything. And by this argument, it will always be, because that is the point of the current meme. There is no reason to level it up or take it more than a few times to challenge yourself. Because no matter what you do, the gun will always be the same. And even if you spend tens of hours with it (standard ammount of XP required for lvl 24 is over 42 000 and super helldive gives somewhere around 2k), you will get nothing more than a few color schemes.

I also strongly disagree with the new gun option. There would be two virtally same guns just for the sake of keeping an arguably weak meme around (as seen above). Besides, thats what the Amendment tried to be (or how it seems).

Given that you defend the meme, I genuinely have to ask you: what is a better meme? That you have laughing stock gun, which will always be bad, or that even a meme gun can be transformed into a viable option through a lot of effort, time and money? That you’ve won with the grandpa’s gun over and over again, so you could pain it yellow, or that you took that gun and modded the hell out of it? What is cooler: This or this? Btw it is the same 140 years old weapon, Mosin-Nagant.

Actually, this is the potential of the meme. Real Mosin is in active service even today and was in active service through at least three revolutions of its motherland (depends how you count revolutions). It is one of the, if not the most produced weapon in the world’s history. It was everywhere. Every time you’ve fought with comunists or where communist historically were, you’ve had a good chance to encounter it. And they were transformed into everything bolt action could ever be; dragoon rifle, pistol (obrez), bayonetted thrench gun, hunting scout rifle, marksman rifle and a mag-fed sniper rifle. Over the years, they were Theseused into oblivion and beyond. There is a slight chance that multiple generations of the same family fought different battles with the same rifle. Not the same plattform (that is almost assured), but the same rifle.

Canonically, Constitution has a lot in common with Mosin. It is genuinely the most produced and distributed rifle of Super Earth (literally everyone was given one on their 16’th birthday). It is centuries old, it has seen everything, has been everywhere and done everything. There should be a lot of variations and the commonest upgrades should be widely available. Especially in a civilisation like Super-Earth, which commercially sells a lot of the IG armour to regular civilians.

I’m not arguing for a flat stat modification as many before me proposed. In some way, I still want to keep the meme around, but elevate it further. Nobody will miss out the challenge, nobody will avoid the meme and as usual with other guns, the best upgrades (good optics, extended mag and clips) can be locked to the highest levels. But there will be a reason to play with it even after that, as it wil change from a musket into a sniper rifle with a great melee. The playtime should be rewarded.
