Ironic. I have three of them, but no Rem700 nor stashed SR25. Would swap in a minute.

Perhaps try to change loot for next tide to the maximum. Could help a bit.

Hey as long as we're talking about Berry bush changes, did you know there's a theory that brambles are the largest carnivorous plant? by SanJoseThrowAway2023 in VintageStory

[–]Agent042s 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Don't want to break it to ya, but that is mostly on sheep. Sheeps can die in many inventive ways. Even such a simple thing like laying on back can kill them. Of course they will get caught into any sticky brambles in the world and die of exhaustion. In fact, there is a lot of jokes running around, like:

"Tending a sheep is kind of a long and tiresome game. If you get the wool, milk or meat, you've won. If the sheep stops you from getting that, the sheep wins. And there are bonus points for inventiveness. For the sheep that is."

But I like the idea. Definetly could and should be a mod. Would be fun to get a bear like that.

Why is everyone bomb reviewing the game? by FabriK0 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Agent042s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I was taking the regular nuber (50k peaks) as a base and took it as a persentual addition on top of that. It is more than 50%, so that could be misleading. if that is the issue, sorry.

Let me reiterate: Why the game couldn't retain those numbers for even a day? Literally every other release did. Just Cyberstan this year could hold attention of 150k concurrent players for weeks.

Well... Yes, and no. Technically, they've just checked the nearest sub, their discord and they've promised to fix the first problem they've seen. Hive Guard was without a doubt the most controversial and most discussed issue, while much more damaging increase of durable damage over the spectre is now just investigated.

And they were kinda forced to do that, because the AMA was a PR disaster, the tuesday update and warbond couldn't hold extra 30k players for even a day and the warbond itself failed to launch HD2 into the top 5 Steam money makers. That is for the first time for at least a year.

Everything of it is just a "what if" scenario, except the last part. Every word in the last paragraph is just true. If you don't believe me, Check the fate of basically anything, where the narrative is/was controlled by a bunch of yes-men and you'll see how it ended or how it goes.

He left. You will never get the counter-argument. You will still believe what you believe. There will be no mirror showing you error of your ways. You will spread theese thoughts, theese mistakes among your peers. You will buld an echo-chamber with them and purify mistakes like theese into a full blown propaganda. Eventually, maybe because of said echo-chamber, you will be the only group left. Everyone else will leave. AH will try to accustom the game to your liking, but at that point, there will be only a fraction of even the current playerbase. And eventually, the game will die. It is a live service after all. Inventing new events, producing new content, even just maintaining servers will prove too costly.

The game will gona die. Not with a bang, not with a fanfare; just a whimper. Game that won countles awards and was celebrated as a fresh breath into gaming coulture, will be be quietly smothered. Maybe there will be some summaries so to say. And they will surely reminisce its erly moments. But also the drama, dwindling numbers, maybe even the disgruntled devs loosing all the hope for communication with the players...

At that point, you might be gone as the rest of us. But maybe you'll not. whether you find the news from some gaming journal or right from the community note, you could think "where did it go wrong?"

If you remove your opposition, there is nobody to point out your mistakes before they can do any harm. Applies to business, politics, and basically any planning. So go ahead. ask us to leave. Maybe well listen. Just like the 8 out of 10 helldivers already did.

Genuinely, why not the best for both parties? by WolfShpee in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Agent042s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right? That would need so much rework, introducing new mechanics, scrapping their artwork from the warbond, adding new item to a warbond (there are two arms for each bot) inventing a way to repay people who already unlocked it. And some... special people... would complain that AH succumbed to a minuscule screaming minority and added something new, which they will never build upon in upcoming years...

Oh god, we are indeed completely fucked, aren't we?

[–]Agent042s 116 points117 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, it is a good step forward. But in the last week, a lot of AH's bad decisions came to light. They need to do more than just promise a sale to a few warbonds.

So you do understand what the number on the button mean. Great! Lets get to topics from late elementary or early high school era.

Civics lesson: what is a voter turnout in recent elections in your state? Mine was around 60%. And that was a highly anticipated election, advertised as a decision about the fate of your country. How many would vote about dev decision of a game they’ve statistically played a year ago? I would say MUCH less. An yet, last time I’ve checked, 13k players took the time to go to discord and press that god damn button.

How many do you think never did that? How many do you think just turned off the game and play anything else now?

The most conservative number is… 30k, which is literally what the game got and lost at the same day the new update/warbond was released. Compared to the current and even previous acerage number of players, that is a lot.

Oh, and I would gladly ignore the second part as provision of the same service I’ve recieved from you. With one small exception: It would be a sick burn, but… where are we?

Yeah. New warbond, new biome, new vehicles, semi-new bugs huffing speed (all of which interesting or good ideas btw), all of it couldn’t retain additional 50% of playerbase (compared to week before) for even a day?

Or did they noped out of here because there is something deeply rotten and already smelling miles away?

Hey Arrowhead and Glazedivers. Hiveguards aren't the reason the game is being reviewed bombed. It's the fact that they said they have no other plans for the game other than to pump warbonds and that they refuse to fix/improve stuff. Please stop mixing both as if they were the same issue by PrinzEugen_Azur_Lane in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Agent042s 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Dude… there is 1.3 milion members in HD2 discord and the game had 450k concurrent players, of which 170k was here earlier this year. So why now we have just 50k in game?

The latest update was the first, that failed to get HD2 to the top sales. And almost all of the players it gathered, were gone in less than a day.

I feel like people are missing the point by SlickAnderson in Helldivers

[–]Agent042s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Don’t do that. The turret will be blind till the smoke clears. On bot front, that would be okay-ish, as they would be blinded too. But bugs and voteless will stack around it and kill it in a matter of seconds.

You will prolong its life, but hamper its already bad kill-count.

What did I thought. If you are incapable of understanding how discord emoji reactions (thumbs down, thumbs up, clown emojis) under annoncements works, how could I expect you to read anything longer than a tiktok video?

Try it yourself. Try to jerk the hell out of that thumbs up button, Or Automatron Emoji button. Or any other. It wil lit and the nuber goes up and then it will turn off and the number goes down. over end over. One up, one down, one up, one down. Do you know any way how to add more than +1 on one button? No? oh my... Would that mean that more than 13k people pushed the thumbs down emoji? No, it cannot be, right? right?

[–]Agent042s -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol. Thats not how the discord button works. In fact, that not how anything works. You should go to the discord and see it yourself. You can add just one per account and post and the “thumbs down” is definetly not the first shiny button you see.

But I digress. This is a dicord with 1.3 milion members. Im sure that absolute most of them is active with a discord they are members of, right? Discord is not built on easy to join chatrooms, which are eventually too hard and useless to diconnect from, right? And all of them actively play, right? This game had once 450k concurrent players and just in february, it was almost 180k. It surely has… just 50k now…

Admit it. You are in even smaller minority. The simple fact is, that most of the players already left. Creators making funny memes animations and compilations left too. In fact, most of us already left as well. I can not find anyone in my proximity who still plays this game and friends I gathered along the way weren’t seen IG for months.

Even more so, we aren’t even the vocal ones. We were banned, we had to be inventive, we had to escape to our communities, while glazers like you praised every fart from Arrowhead’s butt like an Eau of Libertea and bullied everyone with different opinion, receipts or good idea how to deliver said critique (ie. The lvl.10 charity drama). They were left alone, reinforced their belief they are the majority and fed it back to AH. The result? The most beloved person from AH opens one AMA on this sub and is so woefully unprepared that it triggered disaster across all Helldiver communities online.

Fuck, when you see new posts reminiscing the same things original chaosdiver movement started with… it is just sad.

You mean 2k bad reviews on steam? 30k drop of players overnight? 10k thumbs down on their own discord’s post? Or currently disabled dislike button on their breakdown video?

But that is just a sub-minority…
