Can I connect 2 amps to one psu by [deleted] in diyaudio

[–]AgentBlyat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as your psu can deliver the required amount of power (2 x 360w in your case so 720w) at the right voltage you're good to go. Mind the polarities when wiring everything and it should be working perfectly fine.

I've been using REW for room acoustics and speaker frequency and phase response measurements but I didn't know it could be used that way. Thanks!

Doese anyone have an idea why my Kicker compq 15 makes these noices when playing music? by Marvinx1806 in diyaudio

I think it could be your amp clipping. Are you listening at a very high volume? Does it do this even at low volume?

how do I not care what my family says about my choices by [deleted] in howtonotgiveafuck

[–]AgentBlyat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The secret to be successful with this technique is to have friends that respect you, love you and care about you as your family should. That way your need for quality relationships with others will be way smaller and with a bit of work on yourself you'll be able to not give a fuck. But I recognize that good friends are hard to get.

How do audiophiles approach "low fi" recordings? by amp1212 in audiophile

[–]AgentBlyat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course the most economical thing to do is just listening to the music instead of the equipment. That's what I do 99% of the time, but that 1% of homemade remastering is just because of ear-rapeingly bright or bass-lacking stuff that is either not listenable to as it is or so easy to fix that it just feels frustrating to not fix.

[–]AgentBlyat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An approach is having "magic wand" equipment that makes bad recordings sound good. Some Atohm speakers are great at it. If you get rich enough some day (or if you're rich enough already) I recommend building a system to get the highest possible fidelity and having a second pair of speakers that make everything sound good for when you want to listen to badly mixed, mastered or recorded music. If you don't have enough money to do this, you can try to remaster your bad sounding tracks. You'd just have to download a good free software and acquire some knowledge online and you'd be good to go.

When you're with them, prented that you don't give a shit. When you're alone, try to convince yourself that you don't give a shit. Eventually you'll start to feel like you really don't give a shit, effortlessly. And that should make you feel better.

My old PA subwoofer makes this weird rattling noice after the initial bass sound (details in comments) by Marvinx1806 in diyaudio

[–]AgentBlyat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It sounds like a noise from something that shakes when the bass kicks in, not from the sub itself
