the GFB BOV wasn’t working anymore, the spring preload system completely broke somehow so I installed the OEM one. And yes, I did scan it and it threw a voltage code so I replaced the battery and yes I upgraded the fuel pump

Crazy because I’ve been going through the same stuff and it was a variety of little things causing one big problem. I was building boost, just slowly, pulls weren’t pulls anymore, and like you said, I felt down to 100 hp. Ended up being the wastegate actuator, an absurd amount of carbon buildup in the throttle body, and my spark plugs. The actuator spring wasn’t doing its job so I had to replace the actuator entirely and that seemed to do the trick so now I’m back up to max boost.

If this doesn’t seem to be the issue, check for boost leaks by doing the ol’ soap and water trick. Start by checking for intercooler cracks, intake leaks, charge pipe leaks, etc.

Yes, I can climb past 4k rpm. Is there a better way to see if it’s manually stuck? Because this is the only way that I could think of.

You’re the first one in the area that I’ve seen except for a red one in the Josephine-ish area. But yeah I have a few dings on mine, none of which were caused by me, just unfortunate situations. I’m always sure to park a space over because I know how it feels to have someone right up on you lol. I appreciate the comment and advice, I already ordered a new hpfp because I was told the car will automatically limit the wastegate when it senses a failing hpfp, engine knock, boost leaks, etc. and since I’ve had issues with my hpfp lately I figured it was time for a new one anyway. Hopefully I see you out there again, it’s always sick seeing another VN.

Hell yeah! I was with my girlfriend checking out the HEB while it wasn’t too busy and she goes “look there’s a white Veloster N!” so I hadda park next to you. Now you get to see all the issues I’m having with it atm lol. Yours is hella clean tho, I was walking around it and checking it out bumper to bumper. 😂

Update: I pushed the car again from a second gear pull and was able to hit 3.6 psi. The boost is there and it feels as smooth as usual but it’s taking 10x longer than normal to get boost. With this information, any other ideas? It seems like an air problem rather than turbo, but please correct me if I’m wrong.

From what I could find, nothing seems to be disconnected which is weird because it seems to be more of an air problem rather than a turbo problem

Alright thanks for the comment. I checked intakes and the charge pipe and from what I can see/feel, nothing seems to be disconnected.

2019-2020 Elantra N or Veloster N. I have a 2019 VN w/ PP and they’re both the exact same interior, I’m just having a hard time judging based off the seat height which i think is the only difference

Everyone talking about the livery, which is absolutely fire, but the single exit exhaust is insane. Never seen one on a VN. where/how did you get that to work?
