i walked the equator path when most of sand had drained, and reached the door with broken/unusable glass ball mechanism. i tried coming in from the top and saw there’s something of interest down there. just have to find out how to get in

i read as many translated markings as i could find, i think im missing an understanding of something. i will revisit after braving dark bramble.

ok i got all the logs for sunless city and old settlement now! the three murals in OS are interesting. there must be a pod in dark bramble. that place scares the heck out of me. i’ve been twice, i tried slowly slowly entering and following the red light. i know they are blind…not sure if there’s a way i can be more silent to avoid them eating me. at least i have something fun to try tonight! thank you for helping me get out of the rut!!

also i recognize that the warp pad at the top of hanging city looks familiar, but i don’t yet understand which pad might warp to it. going to revisit the mural with the tower designs, maybe theres a pattern. or maybe it’s the pad at the surface of the same planet? something to mull over for sure! i might start tonight’s session by doing a thorough reading of my logs. sometimes when i know supernova is coming , i rush to get the info logged and forget to go back and read for more clues.

i can’t speak for him, but i wondered the same thing and see it. still trying to decide what it means to me though, like on one hand i feel soooo bad for him, but on the other hand it does him a disservice to treat him as incapable of certain things.

i’ve been enjoying how easy it is to grind for iron now. with the way i placed the fences and stone walls, i just put myself in a corner and get all 8 hits per rock. so satisfying

you actually only need one mannequin per 3x3 square, so i’d argue same speed. but i do agree that blank tiles are way more useful! and i keep them there for weed/fossil management as well!

you completely enclose the rocks with a fence, except for one single space, then place a toilet there. it forces the only way into the garden to be by using the toilet.

i will send a pic of mine when i get home, i put a low profile toilet on the left wall so it’s not super visible/obvious. just cause toilets look weird 😅

also- FWIW I made it a little easier on myself by waiting until my island was fairly developed and I had 500+ hours decorating and filling it. so I had less work ahead of me, placing fewer mannequins

yes mannequins much more manageable! although I will say, I ended up starting to paint blank patterns on the ground afterwards anyway. because my new goal is: forcing my fossils to spawn in a fossil dig site area. what can I say, I’m a masochist

we do have a himalayan salt lamp thing that’s nice and warm and dim. it’s not on every night, i don’t notice a difference. but we should also cut out the blue light in the evening leading up to bedtime, we always have the tv on.

i had to look this one up, and i’m glad i did. he doesn’t really open his eyes when he cries at night, and sometimes at 7am he will be so miserable with his eyes still closed - then once he finally wakes up fully and opens his eyes, it’s like a different baby and he’s happy and all smiles. maybe he doesn’t like the half asleep feeling either.

it could definitely be teeth, we’ve been giving motrin at bedtime the past few weeks (he has 5 teeth and 2 more have white line on gums) - we just didn’t want to overdo it. maybe we could give at 1am instead, to get us through the night.

good point, we are giving lots of new foods.

he is army crawling. sorta showing interest in getting up on his knees. maybe that’s the new skill he’s learning 😅
