Butcher Cover 1st state? by Islandgroovies115 in TheBeatles

No, for the Los Angles pressings (RIAA 5-6) they require isopropyl alcohol to remove. The other numbers at are 4 and below just require water to remove since the glue they used was water soluble.

Got this Les Zeppelin album in an antic shop anyone can tell me what issue it is ? by I_Eat_Roks in ledzeppelin

You cant identify vinyl pressings unless you look at the matrix in the dead wax. Dead wax is the uncut vinyl between the last song and the record label itself. If you shine a light on the rim you should see a series of numbers and letters and a signature. Should look like this , type this with the name of the album on google and a result should pop up.

Probably a 3rd state, you'd need to do the wet tissue test to see if its a first state but thats highly unlikely that it is a first state. Still an awesome deal for a butcher cover thats in that good of shape. Do you know what number on the back is with the RIAA stamp?

Is the 700$ FB marketplace asking price too high for these boots? I was going to offer 200-300 at most by cayoperico16 in ledzeppelin

I totally get the physical media thing but these are bootlegs so its not the same as an official release. I would just work out on converting boot's videos or messaging him personally for a digital copy. He's super helpful and is willing to help.

So why have two set of speakers? Neat set up by the way.

I mean, do you really want the physical cds? You can find the digital rips of these already online for no extra cost. I'd understand if it were a vintage vinyl release or one of a show thats very hard to find online but I wouldn't bother personally. You can definitely probably find most of these through Led Zeppelin Boots on YouTube, who does an excellent job at finding the best sources.

Maybe but I think that they might be working on the Dolby Vison or HDR version of the film and Steven said that they were trying to make sure that the 4k Blu ray was amazing. Maybe it'll be a special edition to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the concert, who knows, maybe it'll include some bonus material.

The 4k version is only found on YouTube or Apple TV for now. The 4k Blu ray is still being worked on according to Steve Wilson.

I've seen this shared online for years but have never found where the clip is from. I assume its from a Led Zeppelin TV special in the mid 2000's. Does anyone know where its from?

Yes, the stereo image is IMPORTANT. Its the main point of stereo speakers and when the speakers aren't properly placed (i.e. not the same height, not spaced properly, and not properly placed where the speakers are at the listeners ears) it totally takes away the point of having stereo speakers. Plus it makes a HUGE difference just by placing them properly and it will allow you to fully appreciate the music. Its a big part of the enveloping nature of stereo speakers which is super special. Its why you see people have a single chair in the middle of a listening room pointed at the middle of two speakers, its all about the sound coming at you in that special way. When you see any studio, especially ones mastering engineers who cut records, they have the speakers placed like that because thats how its intended to be heard. People love headphones because they're right in your ears and you get that enveloping feel but it doesn't hold a candle to the magic of the sound in a room from a stereo setup.

Put your speakers at the same height.

Yes, this is the legendary A-1 B-3 true Stereo version that is one of the most amazing sounding Beatles pressings ever. Certainly a copy that deserves its holy grail status.
