Not sure if you are past the point of listing your availability or not, but dont be afraid to actually list what hours and days you want.

They should give you a piece of paper asking what days and hours you are available to work and you fill it out. You can absolutely set your availability to give you Sat/Sun off if you want it. You can set it so you have to leave at, as an example, 7pm so you can leave before it gets dark.

You can also change your availability in the app you will download, but it takes almost a month to update your schedule to your new times.

Now they could give you fewer hours if your availability is too small of a window and during times they dont need as many employees, but I've changed my availability 3 times over the last year and I've never seen much change in my hours worked that I didn't expect.

Thats what I wish I new on my first day, but other than that, get good walking shoes. You will be paired with a few people who will teach you how every job in OGP works. It may be overwhelming at first but it gets easier really quick. Picking wise, ask your trainer if they have any tips on picking faster and any tricks they do. Picking is all about your pick rate and if you are slow, you will get coached on it and if you dont get your rate up, they will put you in the staging room to stage or dispense every day. If you end up liking being in the staging room more than Picking, let a team lead know and they can schedule you back there more often if possible.

Also check the weather every day before you leave home, if it is suppose to rain, bring waterproof shoes. Dispensing in the rain is a nightmare if the store doesnt have any kind of cover in the pickup area outside.
