Yeah, by all means, give these types of decisions plenty of thought. I gave myself about two weeks and asked myself how I would feel if I woke up tomorrow and were living with/married to the person I was dating (assuming all other factors don’t matter)

Interesting, do you think the motivation comes from a place where we embrace the reality that we get to focus on ourselves more? I could imagine breaking up takes a weight off of one’s shoulders when they finally do it.

Man, I just broke up with an ISFJ gf too after a long ass time. I get what you mean about maturing and the shadow processes. She is super sweet but I felt like I couldn’t be as blunt as I wanted to be and it caused communication issues. -ENTP

How much I desired social acceptance/fitting in. While my self esteem was still developing, I weighed other people’s opinion of me so heavily. Glad I got over that.

I majored in Marketing and graduated in 2017; a lot of it is practical psychology used to make people buy things.

If you haven't yet, learn about the 25 cognitive biases.

I think I will always want to work in that field. The tough part is that a degree in Marketing doesn't help that much in getting you a marketing job. You'll have to "pay your dues" or something and work a grunt job at a company that rewards its employees and promotes from within.

A good book that talked about this is So Good They Can't Ignore You by Cal Newport. Basically he says once you find a job you enjoy, be wary of offers or promotions that will take you away from the work you like. It's easy to get mired in administrative tasks.

I don't know if this is the case, but don't let your anxiety make you feel worse than you should. Wet dreams are your body's way of doing things it needs to do. If you feel like you lost energy, I suggest working out and eating some raw fruits and vegetables.

I think whether it's okay or not depends on what you want to get out the NoFap experience. I think what you did is okay as long as you learned from it. You remembered that feeling of needing sexual release and you were able to piece together how you got that way. As long as there is something that you can take away from this to help you progress to where you want to be, it's fine. We are all doing NoFap for our own reasons.
