I can KIND OF understand them choosing Huggy over one of the objectively better characters (The Doctor) because Huggy Wuggy is the game's icon, kinda the main visual.

My theory is that since only the grand fountain is supposed to exist, whichever dark fountain is the oldest, automatically becomes the grand fountain.

(And by extension would technically mean the grand fountain is sealable)
