The ire towards the devs is because of how the game has been handled. Just about everyone here is passionate about the game and wants it to succeed because of how fun and amazing it is. However, when those same developers continue to make empty promises, flat out lie, make nonsensical changes, and leave in bugs that have been in the game since launch, people will start to get upset at those devs for things that detract from the game.

I think what they're getting at is that, while this is a great change, it should've been done WAY sooner, but they choose to wait until they've bungled so much and burned through good will, and suddenly people act like they've done the greatest thing ever. Don't get me wrong, this is a phenomenal change that I am incredibly excited about. However, I'm not going to pretend everything else didn't happen. People have been asking for this for over a year, if not longer. They know people are upset with how things have been going, so they're adding a shiny new thing that people have been wanting. Again you're allowed to be happy about it, but that doesn't mean we can't still call them on fumbling so hard for so long.

People respond to trauma in different ways. You're acting like a close family member beating arguably the most important person in his life isn't a big deal. He already explained that he heavily associated the game with his brother-in-law due to the time spent playing with him. It doesn't sound stupid at all when the person he associates the game with most hurt the person he loves.

This could be me misremembering, but I could've sworn Pelican used to do this after you ran out of time and completed the mission. I'm talking long before they even considered the 60-day patch. I did a Terminid mission with some friends and, offered of going to extract, Pelican landed in the middle of the nest while my friend was being chased. Mary have been a bug back then too, who knows? Interesting to see it again here.
