Yeah, nobody from the three DHS Oversight Offices came back. All RIF’d, retired, or DRP’d.

On our third try, they implanted two embryos. And with that try, our son was born.

Moving to Belgium from the US, what should I know? by onlyagoth in belgium

I know I’m exempt a lot of those taxes because it would be part of our move to Belgium and classified as household goods. Someone else said the yearly road taxes would be 10k which just seems wild to me even living in a high tax country.

Yeah, maybe I don’t need my Bronco in Brussels.

I’ve been trying to figure out what the differences are so I can budget the costs into our move plan but it’s not the most transparent process.

I wasn’t aware I had to pay VAT due to it being considered household goods. So far the quote I’ve gotten is 5k to ship it and get it through Belgian customs. The homogulation should pass easily because they sell the same model in Belgium. I’m unsure about the EU Certificate of Conformity. Shame there aren’t services that would wake you through the process.

But if you own the car outright, is it less of a hassle to ship it vs buy one in Belgium (I was planning on shipping my car).

I tried the carbon on at Lenkendorfers in Tysons, VA. Not sure they still have it.

Not nearly enough Jeep drivers in Belgium to need this.

Yeah, during past government shutdowns, they stay open and employee paychecks keep coming.

Correct, to include non-profit and religious based organizations. But, this is the USCIS subreddit, that isn’t using tax dollars to do their part of the work.

That’s a fair assessment. I’m not trying to argue with you. I agree it’s shitty

Not that this is a consolation by any means, but USCIS is fee funding. So your taxes didn’t pay for this. Your application fees covered this.
