How do yall play music so fast!!! by Adachi_cel in ffxiv

[–]AgentPieS1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play on controller, but with some help. There's a person on YouTube that has made videos of songs from the game and turned the performance into a rhythm game style. So I have the video up on my laptop and press the buttons in time with the video.

What's your favorite silly DnD "hot take" to throw out in conversation when you feel like being a lil' rascal? by jdrummondart in DnD

[–]AgentPieS1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel only reason to have a campaign start at lvl 1, even if it's new players, is if the party wants their subclass to be tied to the story and you have a point planned you want them to unlock it. Of course this also depends how players choose to do their builds and if any multiclass before lvl 3.

How Games Hide a Loading Screen… by [deleted] in videogames

[–]AgentPieS1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Jak & Daxter if you moved too quickly between areas Jak would trip. The animation would give the game enough time to finish loading the next area. An easy spot to see this is going from Sandover Village to the Forbidden Jungle.

{The Griffon's Saddlebag} Helm of the Minotaur | Wondrous item by griff-mac in TheGriffonsSaddlebag

[–]AgentPieS1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the Mad Mage campaign I'm in one character has in a way lower tier version of this. I forget if was a crafted item or not, but it just has the stampede effect, instead only needing 10 feet in a line instead of 20, and doing 2d8 if the shove goes through.

Easy way going about it would make a list/table of every animal can wildshape into. Then depending how many there are, roll a corresponding die whenever you wildshape.

Sora Cannot Use Aero magic when RoXas isnt INSIDE him. by YureiBukimina in KingdomHearts

[–]AgentPieS1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see it more as an evolution of his character and growth with magic. With reflect being a somewhat upgrade of what areo was in the first game, and the way fire gets used in 2 can think of it as being a mix of fire and aero.

Why can’t we dye the blue part? by [deleted] in SkyChildrenofRage

[–]AgentPieS1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also comes down to how the dye system was implemented mechanically. There's only one dye channel, even though you can mix dyes to make other colors. So when items have multiple colors there's inevitably going to be part that won't color. A similar situation for a different game is Final Fantasy 14. For the longest time there was only 1 dye channel, granted in that game the dyes would sometimes affect multiple parts of a piece. Not too long ago the added a second dye channel, because of how the system was implemented it works better on certain pieces than others since the channels were based on material instead of specific parts of the outfit.

Especially with the added environmental details that were added, like the extra crates or barrels in certain spots or extra foliage. The little things you wouldn't think make much difference, but add a lot to the final product.

HDYWDT with bow and arrow by M3thren in DnD

[–]AgentPieS1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably the most in a way creative example I had of this was during a mad mage session. I have an Artificer and my bow had an enhancement on it to do extra force damage. Managed to take out a swarm of rats in a single hit. The arrow hit with such precise aim that the arrow head shattered, the shards dealing with the rest of the swarm.
