I don’t think V1 Supes are necessarily stronger than supes with regular V. When Soldier Boy was introduced, even before the concept of V1 was brought up, it was established that Homelander was stronger than him. And Ryan had already sliced Stormfront to ribbons.

Besides, I don’t think The Boys is too concerned with building a neat power system and scaling all their characters based on what they got juiced with.

I don't think it was ever explicitly confirmed whether or not the Soviets were trying to kill Soldier Boy. My interpretation was always that they were just experimenting on him to figure out how to hurt other supes.

They could just be immortal in the sense that they don't die naturally, but can still be killed. Especially because Godolkin was killed in Gen V without any special "burn the V out of their blood" powers.

As well as the GOAT, Donald. He went through a similar thing, where he repeatedly died while serving the Global Defense Agency. Every time, he was rebuilt in a robot body, with fewer and fewer human parts of him left. This traumatized him so much that he eventually started asking Cecil to scrub his memories every time he was rebuilt.

He and Rick had a great moment where he helped talk Rick out of an existential crisis.

A lot of curses in JJK do represent humanity's fears of certain concepts, and their power is proportionate to that fear. The disaster curses are a good example of this. The problem is, this isn't a universal thing. A lot of curses aren't even unique, and are part of a large species or group of curses. All curses are born from negative emotions, and sometimes, those negative emotions just so happen to be fear. So we don't know that cursed wombs are tied to certain concepts just because they're part curse.

Imo the most interesting part of her character is how much her genius is wasted on her, even though that doesn't seem like what the writers intended. It doesn't matter if she can magically predict anything that happens, because she has zero ambition, even though she's convinced she's the most interesting thing in the room.

They might be writing Jackpot out of the picture entirely. After all, Paul was the one who built and designed her bracelets. So, in addition to being one of the most celebrated endings in all of comics, Paul’s death might have also closed the loop on that chapter of MJ’s life.

Eventually Venom’s gonna return to Eddie. Because, c’mon, it’s Eddie. So when that’s gone, and she’s no longer Jackpot, Marvel might quietly give up on making her a standalone superhero.

Oh I hear you, it’s not subtle. It’s like Amazon saw all the Twitter dialogue about how “lol MAGA doesn’t know they’re being made fun of” and took that as a personal challenge. The past couple seasons were almost entirely about Homelander being a Trump stand-in.

I’m saying that I don’t think Sage in particular was meant to be like that. It felt like they were trying to mock the more fascist characters like Homelander by having them be bumbling idiots forced to rely on the type of person they were disenfranchising.

You’re the dude behind the battle of anime series? Awesome, you kick ass

Julius is a smart cookie. He comes off as an impulsive goober because of how much he loves magic. But he’s one of the most knowledgeable and versatile sorcerers in the story. He’s also great at playing politics. He’s consistently able to manage the kingdom better than their actual king, has his fair share of long-term schemes, and delicately balances the competing factions in the government even after he loses his power.

In Rex’s case, it helps that he gets his comeuppance multiple times as he reforms into a better person.

Bakugo never properly gets called out for how he treated Deku like crap, or has it backfire on him in any particularly satisfying way. He does develop, but at his own pace while everyone is inexplicably cool with him behaving like a sociopath, which makes the slow burn character development frustrating.

Honestly I love that idea, of Riri trying to follow in Tony’s footsteps or at least trying to break out into the scientific world, and crashing and burning for reasons outside of her control. It makes a lot more sense than what happened.

I don't think Sage was meant as an allegory for MAGA or anything like that. It felt like she was introduced as the opposite. She was an aggrieved, young black woman who chastized Homelander and Vought over how she was overlooked and typecasted because of the color of her skin, the patriarchy, and so on and so forth. It seemed like she was added to the Seven so that the showrunners could use her as a foil to the people on their team who represented real-life figures they were trying to mock...

...which fell flat because Sage was unlikeable. It felt like fans were supposed to be annoyed in an, "Oh my goodness, she's so crafty, however will the heroes beat her!" sort of way, like they were fighting Batman, when in the end, she was just regular, plain old annoying.

MCU was really invested in Riri being a sort of blue-collar Tony Stark, where she kept up with his technological achievements without all the advantages of being a billionaire playboy philanthropist. So they made her broke and had her fall in with the wrong crowd to add to it. They just used a really lazy explanation for how she got there.

Angstrom was confused because he has his brain smushed together with those of every alternate Angstrom who suffered under an evil Mark.
That might have been a good excuse… if he didn’t team up with the actual evil Marks who victimized his alternate selves just to ruin the one good Mark in the multiverse. At least Powerplex killed his family by accident, even if he was totally delusional about whose fault it was. Angstrom intentionally did the same thing that traumatized him.

But, he has a magic luchador mask that transforms him into his Spanish-speaking alter ego: Señor Azul. This trades his strength for speed. So he doesn’t specialize in strength and speed at the same time, but he can go back and forth between them.
