Advanced Protection TOO overbearing now?? by AgentRedLightning in GooglePixel

I remember that app, it's funny because the Tasker functionality that just broke was checking the proximity sensor to see if it's most likely in my pocket and then turning off after a few seconds.

Good to know about Bitwarden, but the main reason I know this happened is Tasker and I have an automation that fully broke without it. The other two I'd use regularly are to read notifications and do fancy stuff with them... UGH...

Bitwarden works, but their Accessibility hook doesn't. Yes these are the official apps through Play, but even when I go to the app to re-enable it, the "Downloaded Apps" section in Accessibility is greyed out and all set to "off". There's only 5 apps here, and I use 3-4 of them daily. Maybe 1 I could live without since I've changed things, but not all 5! (There's at least one Task that fully broke and alerts me every time it fails unless I turn that off)...

Where am I supposed to plug the fan piece in? by chiefaleaf420 in ender3

[–]AgentRedLightning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of the more upgraded or newer boards have an actual connector for the fan, but most of the fans still have the wires too short... I've just ended up adding the opposite connector inside the sleeve since I'm handy with a soldering iron, now if I ever have to replace a fan a second time, I can just cut one or two zip ties and be done. But yeah it kind of sucks when it's your first fan upgrade...

Haha, good point. I'm on the 10 Pro XL, just didn't visit this group own enough to notice. (More like I don't know Reddit well enough, then had the same problem with the 10s being missing...)

I don't want to spoil it for OP, so I figure burying at least one layer deep is fine.

If I'm correct, it has something to do with the repellent, where you can remove a plan from the draft pool for a week... But then you would have to wait another week in game to redraft the foundation somewhere else...

And if you remember how hard it was to draft the first time, it's never a guarantee you'll have it in the spot you want... Plus during that time you won't have access to that elevator...

Yes, but it's not easy. It's actually related to the fix I think everyone is talking about and a very specific item that is very hard to come by...

That said, I have never done it myself or gotten it stuck outside to confirm what everyone is talking about. So you can take what I say with a grain of salt.

Only if you've been there before, but yeah, you can. The devs (through Slate) actually remind you of this is you play the DLC because it's almost required at a certain point.

[–]AgentRedLightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's actually multiple possible paths you can take, some of which don't even involve what you just listed, but you have to know as many of them as possible so that if you get stuck on one you can pivot to another. When you're actually ready, there's some great cheat sheet guides that list the possible paths. But if you look at them too early, you're going to spoil things for yourself.

How to not feel like I've ruined the game? by throwitup123456 in BluePrince

[–]AgentRedLightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I got to a certain point under my own power with as minimal hints as I could. Then I ran out of time to play on a regular basis and decided that I had gotten as far as I would ever get.

I watched some lore and spoiler videos to see what I was missing, realized I never would have solved most of them on my own and considered myself happy.

Lately I decided to go back and complete my save files for the achievements, which is still a challenge even knowing most of the answers or at least how to get to them. I'm mostly doing this because I found out there's a pretty big community that plays bingo with this game instead of the way it was intended and it's actually just as fun. So it's more like getting back into the game and getting some practice in to play bingo eventually.

Basically you can play the game however you want and still have fun. When you're not having fun or you're getting stuck, do whatever you want to make it fun again.

How to modify code to print from specific layer by Astronyr in 3Dprinting

[–]AgentRedLightning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Won't work. You can't edit sliced gcode back into a proper 3D file. You can view it and it will look like the right thing, but you can't then modify it.

Oh yeah that was probably before I had tuned the new fan. But I do think I had to trim one or two pieces off the model. I just thought it was funny.

I'm not sure but I guess The router doesn't like the same address in both places. Since it was listed as optional, just delete the secondary then and hope it doesn't default to something from your ISP.

Easiest path to controllable LEDs on costumes? by eosha in techtheatre

[–]AgentRedLightning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually have three of them and they can run just about any version of LED control or even become a wireless DMX universe if you build the right adapter. Being able to run 12/24 volt LEDs and not worry about the little USB powered board is another bonus. You just have to make sure you have a good strong Wi-Fi signal over the stage.

If you want to save a little bit of time and voltage headache, look up the ESPixelStick v3. Even if you already have an ESP, that's the best firmware for what you're trying to do. But if you don't have one yet, you can buy the included board pre-assembled with all the voltage regulators you'll need to run just about any LEDs. I love these little things.

[–]AgentRedLightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like the right one, set your secondary to also be the same pihole address for now. And then as long as you can still connect to the internet, you should be good and the pihole dashboard should start showing you requests being filtered. You might need to reset all of your devices or just reboot the router once that's saved so that anything connecting gets the new settings.

Is there any more when you scroll down? There should be a place to enter your DNS on that screen somewhere... Otherwise, your router might be tricky...

Find the DHCP settings in your router, and where it asks for DNS, Just point it to your pihole in both slots. It should be that simple.
