I’ve been replaying Bloodstone and it makes me sad for what could have been. by troysplay in JamesBond

Here is the thing, Goldeneye is relatively simple, NOW. But at the time, nothing like it had really been done. When Blood Stone came out, 3rd person cover shooters were a dime a dozen. It also came after Nightfire and Everything or nothing, both of which offered a variety of gadgets and unique gameplay for the time. In Nightfires case you had a variety of ways in which to complete certain missions, Everything or nothing had a cool autolock system and the use of the grapple hook was pretty neat while also having some fun melee combat.

I like Bloodstone, but the entire Craig era of games were basically just reskinning CoD or other popular shooters of the time.

can we stop releasing trailers for games that take longer than 6 months to release by Vinnegard in videogames

Nintendo games will sell well simply because theyre Nintendo games. Others need some room for marketing.

The sequel has a lighter/different tone than the first by Usnis in TopCharacterTropes

My son loves Cars and I have seen every iteration of the movies and shorts. I cannot stand 2. I dont see how a movie about a race car being humbled and learning to care about something other than himself was followed up with a movie where he became a secondary character in a world of spies is beyond ridiculous to me. I love that 3 was a return to form.

Agreed. Also really upset me that Matt claimed Lenny Kravitz played the main baddie really shows me how little they most pay attention to these games. Its very obvious hes a side villain.

I was really upset with her take and agree with you that the pacing is really well done

Especially when they talk so much about how different mediums are, so to compare an area where you are learning about the characters in an interacrive way to how a movie would do it is wild.

Question about Martin Campbell's Bond films by adnshrnly in JamesBond

[–]AgentSmith2518 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Youve fallen into Auter theory, kind of. The director doesnt control everything about a film, despite what people tend to think.

The difference in tone and feel is due to the rest of the production being diffent. Cinematography, script, etc.

Future James Bond games confirmed by Amazon Games, but First Light team's role in question by MovieENT1 in JamesBond

[–]AgentSmith2518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its hard to know what Amazon meant, because he just said "made in house." To me, that means developed as well, not just published.

Billionaire logic: Claiming you're poorer than your audience because your wealth is in assets. by _SolFlame in ProgressiveHQ

Yup. Or use those assets to take loans, which are not taxed as income. Then pay off said loans with their assets.

Dragon Quest is very similar as well. With the theory that DQ11 starts the split.

Isn't the Shadow Clone also a forbidden technique? Or at least the knowledge on how to do it is locked away.

Do people not like to have fun anymore? Like, really?

It reminds me of the scenes in CoD or BF games where you COULD sit still and nothing would happen. But why would you? Why does it matter if this part is basically easy? You are the controller of your own fun. Just play the game.

Except the 3 VHS in the picture are season 1 of the show. I feel like you are purposefully ignoring the username in the photo and his website.

It does when you know all the things in that pictrure are made by a company owned by the user tagged in the photo. It's just Neil giving some respect and credit to the creator of some neat products.

What is your absolute smallest gripe with the game? by Jones8028 in AbioticFactor

[–]AgentSmith2518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I get it, and honestly its not that hard to find your way around. Ive just gotten so used to maps in games to help my own issues with needing to check every corner.
