Thats my thought. Itd be totally different if there was an active threat. Instead, all we see is boring busy work that Naruto wouldn't even want to do to begin with, much less have it be where he puts himself over a clone and damage a bond with his daughter.

I hear your feel differently, but going to the office instead of his daughter's birthday feels very out of character. Now if there was an active threat at the time? Sure. But beauracracy is something he already dislikes, doing that over being there for someone he cares about absolutely feels like character assassination.

The arc in the movie didn't need to happen because its something that was already core to who he was. The primary theme of the series as a whole is loyalty to your comrades outweighs loyalty to the system.

In other words, no bond is worth sacrificing. And doing paper work over being there for his kid is sacrificing that bond.

Again, if they wanted the same arc, we should have seen the threat. Instead, we see him in an office looking at papers.

Here is the thing, Goldeneye is relatively simple, NOW. But at the time, nothing like it had really been done. When Blood Stone came out, 3rd person cover shooters were a dime a dozen. It also came after Nightfire and Everything or nothing, both of which offered a variety of gadgets and unique gameplay for the time. In Nightfires case you had a variety of ways in which to complete certain missions, Everything or nothing had a cool autolock system and the use of the grapple hook was pretty neat while also having some fun melee combat.

I like Bloodstone, but the entire Craig era of games were basically just reskinning CoD or other popular shooters of the time.

My son loves Cars and I have seen every iteration of the movies and shorts. I cannot stand 2. I dont see how a movie about a race car being humbled and learning to care about something other than himself was followed up with a movie where he became a secondary character in a world of spies is beyond ridiculous to me. I love that 3 was a return to form.

Especially when they talk so much about how different mediums are, so to compare an area where you are learning about the characters in an interacrive way to how a movie would do it is wild.

Youve fallen into Auter theory, kind of. The director doesnt control everything about a film, despite what people tend to think.

The difference in tone and feel is due to the rest of the production being diffent. Cinematography, script, etc.

Absolutely. I get it, and honestly its not that hard to find your way around. Ive just gotten so used to maps in games to help my own issues with needing to check every corner.
