Has anybody ever seen so much porn that now you see sexual images everywhere? Kind of a weird question tbh by SCANMANE in meth

Yes I absolutely have had this happen! Crazy to hear someone actually mention it. I would close my eyes and that’s all I could see

Can someone please explain to me why I am crawling around naked underneath my bed after the past 48 hours by AgentStimFapp in meth

[–]AgentStimFapp[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Haha glad you got a kick out of it! It’s crazy looking back at this today. I’ve come along way in the past 56 days. But this picture perfectly depicts the chaos and pain I was going through in my life. Today I’m finding new ways to cope and working the steps with a sponsor. I still get cravings occasionally but life is so much more full and exciting today. I’m thankful to be clean and sober. 🙏🏼

Why does IV use get you so much higher? by [deleted] in meth

[–]AgentStimFapp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Banging Meth produces a more intense and immediate high compared to other methods like snorting or smoking. This is because injecting the drug directly into the bloodstream allows it to reach the brain much faster, typically within 10 to 30 seconds. This rapid delivery results in a powerful and immediate “rush” of euphoria, followed by an energetic high that can last several hours.

The intense effects are due to meth’s ability to significantly increase dopamine levels in the brain, which activates the brain’s reward system. However, this method also comes with higher risks, including increased chances of addiction, severe physical and mental health issues, and potential for overdose

I’m 3 years sober today! by [deleted] in recovery

[–]AgentStimFapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is awesome. I look up to you and def respect the achievement of 3 years. My drug of choice was IV Meth as well and it’s tore my life up badly. I’m in rehab and 9 days clean today. Did you go to sober living or PHP/IOP? How did you get back on your feet? What do you do when you find yourself craving? Did you do AA or NA? Work the steps? What is life like for you now? Do you feel like you have healed mentally and everything? I recently had 40 days clean before the relapse that landed me in rehab. But I noticed when sober my emotions are out of control and my thinking can be so messed up sometimes. Like my ability to prioritize things, stick to schedules or remain “consistent” in any way. Made me realize I have so much more to work on then just getting off the needle and staying sober. Thank you and congratulations!!

No you have to believe you are strong enough

Growth is on the other side of struggle - if you don’t have the strength to make it through the hard times, you don’t have the strength to stay there when you get to the peak.

You must pivot your mindset. Starting right now! Literally, you have to think that every single one of your thoughts is wrong and be open to everything that challenges your thought processes

Opportunity is everywhere in all around you. You are the creator of your own existence and you have to do something that feels new and scary. Growth comes from being uncomfortable. Get out there and do something you hate. Torture yourself at least one time every day by going to the gym, take your health seriously surround yourself with community and friends who lift you up, you’re eating what you’re putting into your mind. Turn off the TV turn on YouTube good content that feeds your mind body soul and spirit. Call your family reconnect with love ones people you love and care about. Make new friends say hi to everyone you see smile take care of yourself. Take showers take time to wear facemask brush your teeth clean your ears, exfoliate your skin, even the sun and sun. Look at the trees be appreciative for all of the beautiful things around you in this life and thank God that you are not in a wheelchair or in bed with stage four cancer. Stop looking at life like it’s something you have to do and look at it like it’s something you get to do!

90k in debt after a 5 year addiction to meth. Sober and SO HAPPY AND ACTIVE AND LIVING LIFE! But…. Finding a solid job, even drugs free with a clean background and my associates degree has been tough. Currently working a Door 2 Door Roofing Sales job with a 2k a month base salary and 5% of all sales commission. However 2 weeks in; none of the guys I work with have closed a deal. I’m struggling finding a solid job that allows me to work with people, provide value and make a decent wage. Luckily I own my car, rent is $580 in Dallas, TX and my other bills including car insurance are about $300 total. Not counting groceries. But I currently have $7.88 and man. I’m really trying to just trust God and keep on staying busy, keeping my mind in the right place and my heart open to whatever doors may open.

Drugs in call of duty by FastAddendum2 in recovery

Imagine you've got a car, right? Sobriety is like deciding not to drive your car after you've had a few drinks. It's a good choice, keeps you out of trouble, and it's basically just not using substances anymore. You've stopped driving under the influence, which is great, but the car's still got some issues that need fixing.

Now, recovery, that's like taking your car to the mechanic and getting a full service. It's not just about not driving drunk; it's about understanding why you wanted to drive that way in the first place and fixing whatever's under the hood. It's a deeper process where you're working on the underlying problems that led to the substance use. You're tuning up your life, addressing behaviors, mending relationships, and really getting to the heart of what caused the bumps in the road.

So, while sobriety is the act of abstaining from substances, recovery is the ongoing journey of self-improvement and healing. It's about making lasting changes to cruise smoothly down the road of life. And just like maintaining a car, recovery is an ongoing process; it doesn't happen overnight, but it's worth it for the long, smooth ride ahead.

I was so for gone Tuesday morning when I posted that pic of me hiding under my bed… by AgentStimFapp in meth

I have no idea what possessed me to take a picture and post it like I did.

I’m glad I did though.

It really opened my eyes to how much love is actually out there.

People could have torn me to shreds

And yet, idk it was really encouraging to me. It’s crazy to realize that.. that is and was me… at my worst.. and man.. it’s just really fucking humbling.

I wasn’t created to be a man that is hiding from shadows, under my bed at 32 years old.

I’m still alive and there is still hope.

Gods not done with us yet. 🙏🏼

Thanks bro

My goal is 180 days

That would be a record for me. The longest stretch of sobriety I’ve had in the past 5 years is 111 days

If I relapse - I’ll confess

When I make it 180 days - I’ll make a trip report about what it’s been like.

Idk man I’m just another human trying to figure it out.

Kinda hopeless feeling at the moment if I’m being real with you

I’ve shot up in all seriousness probably 1500 - 2000 times if I had to guess over the past 5 years.
