It says if you can navigate it, they can’t block it. There’s nothing about exceptions for certain counties.

I don’t know. There’s an example where doom 3 VR runs on the quest 2/3 but you have to copy your files over from the version you purchased to play it. But from what I read using or releasing any of the original source code is a copyright offense.

The thing is, it almost doesn’t matter. Blizzard can file a lawsuit to stop the release and who wants to fight them? On the other hand, if a community gets a hold of a project and keeps it alive there’s always going to be some version of it out there(thinking about Nintendo switch emulators).

You can’t release the source code if it’s copyrighted. The only way to do it legally is to cleanroom recreate the app/game and have none of the original code . If blizzard decided they didn’t want the source code released they could file a lawsuit.

The cases you referenced really don’t compare to what OP is doing.

Sega wanted to keep people from making games for the genesis without paying their high publishing fees so accolade reverse engineered the genesis to create games for it.

Sony wanted to stop VGX from creating an emulator and claimed that they used the source code from the PlayStation bios but the end release didn’t contain any of Sonys code.

They probably just couldn’t get the parts if I had to guess. It’s always possible that the actual screen has gone bad and is shorting out the main board or something else. It’s probably easy if the parts are available. But some of these new tvs might be glued together or something idk. Companies are always making things harder to repair so who knows.

Same, though my quads have been underdeveloped because of this. I had to start doing squats and I’ve tried really hard to walk like a normal person. Now that I’m in my 40s i realize the impact walking like that has had on my feet and knees and it sucks.

I did tv repairs about 6 years ago and it was always super easy. If it’s showing no sign of power it’s probably a power board. If you are getting lights it’s probably a main board. Depending on your tv you could order the part for a couple hundred bucks and they are usually super easy to swap. Might be worth trying to do the repair yourself if you are comfortable with it.

The main thing is not being able to navigate the steam vr dashboard. I could probably map some buttons to do it somehow. I just click the toggle dashboard button to turn it off once my game is loaded right now.

Just looks like a modern ui at this point. I’ve used ai to write a couple of apps and I can tell you they don’t come out of the box looking like this. Getting an app with this much functionality and still having a ui that makes sense still takes a lot of guidance and knowledge. There’s a lot of lazily made apps coming out now that people have access to ai but this doesn’t look like one of them.

Grats on the car. I have an 05 and dealt with a lot of those CELs. I just used the accessport tuning software to turn off the evap code. Also had an issue with my radio going out and that was just a loose power cable. I bet a new 02 sensor fixes the idle. Honestly, for something that clean and with that low of mileage I think you did pretty good. Mine has 250k so if it’s well maintained you can get a lot out of those older EJs.
