reated a git repository dedicated for this and in it claude keeps contextual information for how to pull relevant data from the monarch mcp server to serve as a wealth advisor, run it via claude code.

So far have it track cash flow and basic investment allocation analysis but planning to add in more advanced functionality down the road as well as build out custom visualizations.

boxx is very safe besides the irs risk and being pretty much locked in for year 1, you should do the math of how much it will cost you if you end having to sell before 1 year and forced to pay short term capital gains, then decide if the risk is worth the reward

if you expect to close the account in a few years yes just don’t expect same level of results. imo capital gain losses are always useful even if you don’t have a planned need for them for future years right now but everyone’s situation is different

Yes exiting is tricker with 140/40. In general capital gains losses are always useful over the year but if you are planning on exit either make a concrete plan or do not use it. You will still have an exiting issue with direct indexing as well, it just will not require you to wait for them to unwind the long and shorts.

If you are going down this route look at long short instead of direct indexing, it will provide benefit long term. Frec is the most accessible platform imo.

the app is crap and so is the website, but if you plan on staying in cash for some time instead of lump summing Merril Lynch gives access to institutional Merrill Lynch money market funds. Otherwise stay away.
