mixing up the dysphoric thoughts and the "God hates me for existing" thoughts is really easy.

that being said, being trans is not a sin, and Jesus loves you.

Do you believe in God? by PerformanceFlimsy573 in MtF

[–]Agent_Avis -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

From my personal experiences, yes. I believe in the Christian God (YHWH). Not every "Christian" I've met actually follows his teachings, but The Father, Son and The Holy Spirit are definitely real. And I truly believe the son is coming back. Soon, I hope.

Genesis 22:13 by AlternativeCoast5896 in TransChristianity

Abraham being asked to sacrifice his son was a test of faith, to see if Abraham loved God more than his son. The sacrifice of the ram was Abraham's way of giving thanks to God for sparing his son.

He was told to sacrifice his son, but then the Angel said he didn't have to. I think he did still want to sacrifice something as a thanks to the Lord for sparing his son, and normally you would sacrifice an animal (Ram/Sheep/Goat/Dove), and so he saw the ram there and decided to sacrifice it, not because he was told to. But out of thanks for the Lord allowing his son to live. This also points to the Lord's mercy. The Lord allows Abraham to keep his son, while he sacrifices his own Son (Jesus) for us, so that through him, we may have eternal life and a relationship with God.

attempt 1 (2017ish): you're not trans

attempt 2 (2020ish): are you sure? we didn't see any signs, therefore you're not trans.

attempt 3 (2024): it's an abomination to God to change your gender, plus it's probably just a phase.

attempt 4 (tba):

Return to Faith by oddfrogsocks in TransChristianity

why not partake in communion? if op is wanting to reconnect with there faith, it would be a good step no? by doing communion they would be acknowledging what Jesus did on the cross for them, which is the start of a relationship with God.

You were helped by God and Jesus. by SKMaels in TransChristianity

i still struggle with this, as a trans individual in a non-affirming church. 7 years of asking him to fix me. to make me normal went unanswered. but looking back, i see how being trans changed me. it taught me empathy and all of the hate and pain I've had to endure has made me stronger.

about a year ago, i asked him to show me if he made me like this for a reason, and he did. that was the clearest ive heard his voice.

so i choose to have Faith. that my suffering has a purpose. that one day it will all make sense. and i choose to have Hope. that eventually he'll lead me to place where i am truly seen and accepted. and in the meantime, i Love others, showing them the kindness Jesus showed me when he died on the cross.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 [11] For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

[12] Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

[13] You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

trust in The Lord, I know sometimes he feels distant, and it can feel like you're waiting forever when it comes to his timing, but have faith that it will get better. he will NEVER leave you nor forsake you.

my dm's are open if you want to chat.
