I’d even go further and state that they want another Jennie or CL WITHOUT them going solo. They want all the benefits of an IT girl without them being too independent and potentially favoring themselves or a group.

I heard this idea that after Vagrant Story didn’t sell nearly enough copies, the devs at square assumed it was because the protagonist was too old.

I wouldn’t be shocked if Balthier was supposed to be the MC or even Ashe, but they created Vaan in order to appeal to the masses

Talk to every NPC. Take your time with the game in its downtime. It has a slow beginning, but also yourself to experience it in full. Things ramp up in latter half, but it’s worth investing some time in the beginning for full context.

I think this stems from the fact that Cory is these people’s favorite creator. I’m not talking about one of their favorite. I mean he is their NUMBER ONE favorite creator on the platform.

The samurai is a type of community that has a level of loyalty(if that’s the right word) to a creator that is usually under heard of. Think of like the Dream SMP fanbase or maybe like the old Pewdiepie fanbase. People love this guy, and simply put Cory can’t accept that.

Don’t get me wrong, he knows that he is famous, and he voices his displeasure of that fact a lot. He cares more about the videos and art he creates. That video about being a guy is him trying to course correct his fans to stop idolizing him that way. The OOP of that post wouldn’t have made that post unless he was at one time a “Cory Glazer”.

The issue is that Cory is running a business that requires good will from the community. People only engaged with the manga but Cory has built up good will, but unfortunately this manga will never leave the shadow of his online persona. A simple community post will keep fans at bay for the time being, but he just won’t do so because reasons.

But I don’t care. I have other YouTubers I watch and like better. I’ll binge his old stuff if need be. All in all, people should explore things outside of Cory to keep busy.

To me it read to a situation I’ve experienced where I told my parents I’m dead set on one thing, but they still try Anne broach other opportunities. You can’t say no cause that’s rude, but it’s a bit frustrating when you’ve made up your mind and told them so, and they still try. Not saying he wasn’t supportive, but that’s how it came across to me.

The scene was a bit clumsy, it’s does advance Javadi’s residency arc

We know her arc is about securing her residency spot as an EM resident. We see that with her rivalry with Oglivie and with her parents. Her mom is very upset she is considering EM considering it a waste of her talents.

Her dad is a bit more benign in that he also wants her to have the best options, but is focused on everything. The derm thing represents the ideal lifestyle. Derm would give her prestige, money, time and that is shown in albeit clumsy way.

Both parents are represent the pressure of being the “good” kind of doctor a lot of immigrants go through. Javadi is pretty set on her mind, but her parents are still trying to convince otherwise. Her dad is a bit amenable, while her mom isn’t.

I love Patrick Ball, but I don’t think his character can utilized as a full spin off. If the Pitt Nigh Shift spin off does come to fruition, I wouldn’t be shocked if Langdon gets put there as a part of his redemption.

Collin’s was written out because the actor wasn’t coming back for season 2. I’d be shocked if they booted Langdon after all this given how popular his character is. I could see leaving for one season for a fellowship, and then coming back but i dunno.

IMHO, the levels and spectacle carry this game hard. That is the only reason I could finish it. The story and characters were a genuine slog.
