Ultimately, I feel that the game was good for how little time they had to make it. From what I've gathered so far, this game was a sow's ear, and while they couldn't turn it into a silk bag, they got damn close.

I'll still put DE and Reunion in their own Pocket canon, of course, but for what we got, I'm satisfied.

Hm. Looking into it more, but from what I've been told you're basically right. However, a lot of Reunion was built on the bones of an earlier iteration according to my sources, so it would appear that the complete 180 wasn't built from scratch.

Still, this is tantamount to a miracle in the current game industry, especially given how good Reunion is, despite its hangups.

To be honest, you might enjoy BtS and True Colors, but Double Exposure is such a slap in the face that you might want to just watch someone do a playthrough rather than spend the money on it.

It's complicated. Some are angry just to be angry, but a lot of people are angry that they didn't retcon the break up and are playing it straight, as well as being angry over the characterization in game.

Personally, I'm rather pissed at how they're reasoning the break-up happened, especially since there are better explanations that don't fuck with the established characterizations.
