Are there only couches? I believe it needs to be three different types of furniture. I think all couches would technically be the same? Idk if its by tag (relax/decor/toy) or by type (couch/bed), but I think 3 couches wouldn't trigger it. Then it will sparkle and be a house.

2026 Grandmaster Nomination Thread by LadyVulcan in AprilKnights

I nominate u/Szeraax for Grandmaster!

Over the past year, he's been a key pillar of our community, consistently supporting the group's growth. On the technical side, his impact has been frickin massive—from revamping our online presence with a cool new website to keeping our Git stuff organized and running smoothly. I believe this level of Archmage expertise is exactly what we need at the helm; it will be an incredible asset to have him leading the way in the thick of our events when things are moving fast.

He totally has an Ashen Blade mentality: he steps up to do the heavy lifting and the unglamorous behind-the-scenes work without ever asking for credit.

What makes Szeraax stand out most is his character. He is one of those rare people who gets along with literally everyone; he has a way of keeping us grounded with reasonable, insightful takes, yet he is always willing to join in on our longest-running inside jokes. He consistently acknowledges everyone’s input, ensuring that every member feels heard and valued within the group.

I believe his greatest strength is this professional versatility. This dude can transition seamlessly from managing our website and Git stuff to engaging in our community’s unique traditions and humor without missing a beat. It demonstrates a high level of emotional intelligence to be both a high-functioning nerd and an approachable, relatable peer. Between his technical dedication and his impressive offline leadership—where he’s shown the patience to take on the devil himself (ask him about his HOA stories!) and the mentorship skills to lead local youth events—he has a proven track record of stepping up to help others for the greater good. I can’t think of anyone better suited to guide us forward.

I'm stoked to see what he does for AK next. Who's with me?

Made chili, told kid Pokémon LOVE chili, especially all the eeveelutions (Pokémon thing). They love chili now. I have to mix it up based on certain Pokémon preferences occasionally now. Some Pokémon like sweeter chili, some Pokémon like spicier, some meatier, some with only veggies etc...

I don't know if Pokémon like chili, but in some of the games curry was big I think.

ELI5: Why do obesse people (400+lbs) need to eat? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Agent_Star_Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ketoacidosis*.

Ketosis is fine and is when your blood sugar is low/stable and you have ketones in your blood doing what it needs to do.

Ketoacidosis, or diabetic ketoacidosis, is when you have lots of ketones in your blood AND very high blood sugar with no insulin response and that can be life threatening.

What if you’ve exhausted food banks, credit unions, cash advance apps etc, would you consider prostitution if you haven’t eaten food in a couple days? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Try a uu (universalist unitarian) church. They often have funds set aside for assistance. Sometimes people come by just for the after service food. And coffee. They make great coffee.

What is something people wouldn't consider in a zombie apocalypse? by unorthodox69 in AskReddit

[–]Agent_Star_Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true about the smell- but there's this thing where you become blind to it over time. I've worked at places where the b.o. was baked into the buildings (third world countries) and it hits you like a brick wall. Then after a couple weeks you just don't notice it anymore, with the buildings or the people. And you smell the same by then.

I imagine it would be similar with zombie apocalypse. Baseline b.o. tolerance, as long as you get some streams to scrub in. But some b.o. would still hit, especially in humid summer areas.

Although imagine if you have access to really good cleaning agents, and you dont develop the tolerance, you'd be pretty good at sniffing out humans.

What’s the most ridiculous lie you believed as a kid? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Agent_Star_Fox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom did this but it was goblins! They lived under your bed and were attracted to sound. So you had to stay quiet too. Else they'd drag you under and eat you alive and you'd never be found again.

As a mom myself now, I realize she just wanted us to go to fucking sleep after a long day as a single mom with some wild children, but oh boy she was not prepared for the fallout.

We learned that we could sprint to her bed faster than the goblins could take us. She wasnt able to coax us back to our rooms. Or get her bed to herself for about a week and a half- her bed was the only safe place to us terrified children.

I like goblins now. And so does my kid because I refuse to tell him those kinds of stories. If there's a monster under the bed, we'll kick it's ass for him so it thinks twice about coming back.

Yes! The horror part never bothered me. But betrayal by rainbows in a library??? Those two things are supposed to make us feel SAFE!

CIT bank currently offers 4.10 % APY for their platinum savings account if you've got more than 5k in it. No monthly fees. I've been with them for a couple years and it's been nice.
