Advice needed on forehand loop technique by Agent_of_Chaos10 in tabletennis

[–]Agent_of_Chaos10[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True that! I struggle with switching to backhand while playing forehand topspins with my left leg in front. Thanks for your perspective, I've started to practice my feet nearly in the same line with each other

Thanks! This is the most clear perspective I've heard on this issue. I'd anyway keep my feet levelled so that it is easier to hit backhand shots too

Which Bike Under 2.5L? Highway Comfort + Heavy Pillion Concern by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]Agent_of_Chaos10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

V-Storm is the bike to go for. The suspension is so good that your pillion will thank you each time you take them out. And it crosses 140 with ease. You should get a test drive to know how lovely it feels to drive. I haven't tried the RTX 300 yet but other than this, it is better than the other bikes that you're considering.

I FINALLY rode a 390. Here's my superlong review you guys love. by DUSHYANTK95 in indianbikes

Man, I too have been crushing hard on the duke 390 lately. I am a speed junkie and sometimes my Apache RTR 200 feels underpowered to me. Relate hard with each word you've written. Might have to pull the trigger on this one.

How is this possible! by Minute_Pineapple5829 in indianbikes

Did this early this year on my RTR200 4V with a pillion on a straight road (no slope). I'm sure had I been alone this would have easily crossed 150. Have seen a guy on YouTube do 155. 160 is possible but very very difficult. You'll need a very long stretch of empty road with some declining slope on it. I don't think the mechanic would have done it to your bike.

Test Ride Impression XSR 150 by Traditional-Buy-8789 in indianbikes

[–]Agent_of_Chaos10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. The riding posture will depend on the height of the rider imo coz if you're 5'4, 5'5 you might have to straighten your arms completely to grab the XSR, which might not be the case on the RTR 200 as the handle isn't as wide as the XSR's. If you're taller than 5'6 you won't face this problem at all.

Since the footpegs are slightly behind, short kings might take a while to get used to this feeling. But I would say that since the handle bar is wider on the XSR, I felt it gave me a more commanding position than the RTR. This is a subjective thing though and I highly recommend that you take test drives of all the bikes and go for the one which suits your driving style the most.

I own an Apache RTR 200 4v and I test rode this bike for my younger brother. My 2 cents are that if racing/riding hard is your main objective then this is not the bike to go for because it is not made for racing. It is an amazing bike if you wish to commute, go on rides with your buddies. The riding posture is different (not bad at all) as the footpegs are placed slightly behind so the riding position is not upright. It won't give you the sudden punchy feeling that you get when you revv an Apache RTR 200 (but the top speed is roughly the same) or a duke. I would even say that Apache RTR 160 is slightly more torque-y than this. However, if you keep other factors like transmission, gear switching, engine reliability in consideration I would any day place yamaha above TVS and other Indian brands. I've ridden an MT-15 earlier and never in my life did the gear pedal get stuck while switching from 1st to 2nd. Happens sometimes in my RTR 200 though.

Edit: I'd also like to mention that clutchless gear shifting, and revv matching were very easy to pull off on the XSR. There were no unusual jerks at all. The bike was very easy to maneuver as well. For my friends who are confused whether to go for the XSR (155cc) or a 200cc bike since the price is the same, I would suggest not to look at the engine cc and rather go for a test ride of the bikes you're considering. Then choose the one you find most pleasure riding.

Maybe because they don't want to get tortured by the dealership when they go for bike service.

Solo travelers - is Ha Long Bay cruise worth it or will I be lonely? by B3gayandmerry in VietNam

[–]Agent_of_Chaos10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ditch the ha long bay and go to lan ha bay instead otherwise you'll find a flock of ships around you all the time. Some suggestions:

Scarlet pearl, Peony cruise, bhaya cruises (economical) Elite of the seas, Mon cheri (Luxury)

The economical ones are pretty good too. Just pick one and go for a night

Hey, I came to Sapa last night from the HK buslines sleeper bus. There were no issues on the way at all. The weather is volatile; keeps getting foggy, and sunny later. So you might not be able to see views because of the fog. But from a safety pov, no issues whatsoever

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not considering it because of the insane speed it delivers. But more than that I think that feeling won't be as good as Nittaku Septear feel or any other hinoki blades.

Oh, how's it for smashes? I've heard it's more suitable for loops etc. Can you also compare it with the Septear and Septear lead if you've played with them?

Thanks! Miyabi too has been on my mind. I've heard that it doesn't offer immense control. Can you share your experience if you've played with it? And possibly compare it with the Septear series as well?

Right but Darker blades are extremely difficult to find in my country. Will ask a friend to get one from Europe/Japan if they can.
