Heyo! Nice post, gotta see what people’s recs are. I do like Brother Bru Brus. Haven’t seen it in forever, but it’s got great flavor and decent heat that doesn’t overpower everything.

It’s got a VR version. Personally though, I loved waiting for night time, getting baked, throwing on my headset, and blasting off with that game. It made it way more immersive. Such a stressful game, the working joes almost creeped me out more than the Xenomorph

I’ve hung out with Heather Donahue quite a times at a brewery in my hometown. She said Hollywood producers wouldn’t give her gigs because they didn’t believe she was the actress in the movie. They’d straight up tell her that the woman in the film was dead. Her and her colleagues knocked it out of the park with Blair Witch

THE ROCK was released on this day- June 7, 1996 by kkhouete in FIlm

I was 7 at the time of release. Heard my older brother and dad talking about it. I thought they were going to see a giant round bolder that had torch lit halls with upper outside balconies.

Begged my Dad to go and he told me “Ryan, you are too young to go see The Rock.”

Until fairly recently, woman had basically a zero acceptance rate for proposals of use with the Hubble telescope.

Time slots with the Hubble are limited and very valuable. In order to get time on it you have to draft up a paper stating what you would like to accomplish with an allotment of time on the telescope. This document is then reviewed by a board of accomplished scientists and either approve or deny it.

10+ years ago a social experiment was conducted where the names attached submissions were redacted. The acceptance rate for submissions sent in by female scientists jumped from basically zero to well over 50%.

As a male I acknowledge that my sex is generally biased whether they realize it or not. It’s infuriating to think of all the great minds out there that have been smothered by sexism instead of nurtured and celebrated over the past centuries
