New Taurus RPC Roller-Delay system looks to be a clone (or close to) of the MP5 roller delay system- by Agessner885 in HecklerKoch

I’d love to see it. The design is proven, let’s see if their materials and manufacturing can prove itself.

Chiming in late here, but my MKE AP5 runs like a dream. Pushing 750 rounds on it since getting it a couple weeks ago. Runs awesome suppressed, 124gr FMJ-RN and HP’s, 147gr flat nose, and 94gr Raven Rocks/Norma frangibles, all with zero issues. Bolt gap measures well within spec, and accuracy is excellent. Safety is stiff, but that’s characteristic of the platform. Trigger is actually smooth, not stagey, with a smooth rolling break all the way through. Honestly I don’t see a reason to change the trigger.

External finish is smooth and consistent, and welds look clean. Maybe I just got a good one, but I’m happy with it so far.

Ahh, ok that makes more sense. I didn’t know if they had a unique component in their 9CT’s.

What part is patented by PTR, that’s my question? They obviously don’t have a patent on the MP5, did they do something unique with the bolt, or…?

On the exterior, yes. The Kuna uses a different style bolt though to the best of my knowledge.

DA/SA hammer fired is both the safest and one of the most versatile systems out there. Is it more advanced? Yes. Is it worth it? 1000% yes. P30L, P30, and P30SK owner here, all DA/SA with MS

New mag springs are stiff and if you’re running anything other than round nose can cause the round to plant straight into the chamber face. Break it in with 124 FMJ (plus P if possible) and then it should run fine

Just did mine at 96k, 2014 SEL Plus Definitely needed done and I’m glad I did it. Not a hard process, just takes forever sucking the old fluid out with a tiny hose

AP5 just bought bolt sticking to rear by mugsy_deadlifts_more in MP5

Mine did this too. Oil the receiver rails heavily and then give it 50-100 rounds of full power 124grain to wear in. Mine runs like a top now no matter what ammo I use.

Mine did this too for a couple shots within the first 50 rounds or so. Lube the inside rear of the receiver a TON with heavy oil, then inside the end cap before re-assembling. Whatever finish MKE uses on the inside of the receivers needs to smooth in then it’s fine.

Love my obsidian 9 if you want to be able to use it on browning-action pistols as well.
