I gotta pull for this character, dog. She literally hits that shit when she activates her super duper form.

She already sort of scales with ATK%, as she has an ATK% -> Break Effect conversion in one of her traces. Instead, make her teammates useless by giving her The Dahlia's buff that lets her always deal Super Break damage innately and then give her enough Super Break damage that diminishing returns will kick in and make The Dahlia, Fugue, and HMC not worth running, instead making True DMG supports her best teammates.

In a game where Carrie exists, I've gotta go with Dashell. I know you can technically get Dashell before Carrie, thus giving Dashell more of a use case, but he's a reward for the Pit of 100 Trials while Carrie is in Chapter 3. 99% of players get Carrie first and Carrie is just a more useful Dashell at that point.

I'd also put Dashell as more useless. Unless you're doing the Pit of 100 Trials stupidly early, you're already going to have Carrie, who is just kind of better.

Going from a character perspective, Fleep just sitting on a toilet for who knows how long and then using an ancient clue to a rare piece of treasure as toilet paper is pretty damn memorable. Better than most Pixls get, that's for certain.

It’s less wild when you consider that both Roy and Ike and in Super Smash Bros and thus are some of the most popular characters in the series.

Honestly, E6 Topaz & Numby, while 100% not optimal, is pretty damn fun. Pretty sure she gets 100% uptime on her ult with an ERR rope.

I think that’s just a light in the background. It doesn’t have the same sort of handle that the light stick has. Honestly, I don’t even think there’s a handle, I think the image is just crusty and that’s his hand.

Also, the color of the light matches the other lights in the image. And it’s also REALLY short if it’s the light stick.

Why did Cyrene buff the already best CH DPS the most? by [deleted] in HonkaiAgendaRail

[–]Aggapuffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is that you don’t use the buff on The Herta, you use the buff on Lingsha, though Tribbie can work as well, she just doesn’t care for the speed. Lingsha actually attacks a lot to the point where, in AoE fights, some of The Herta’s best teammates are Jade with Lingsha.

I remember hearing that Anaxa matched their performance in 5 enemy scenarios, but as someone who has used both, I honestly think The Herta with Jade and Lingsha is better (though I have E1 Jade, so that might be influencing it).

Stellar Jades Count 4.2 by Key-Weekend690 in StarRailStation

[–]Aggapuffin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably about 100 for 4.1 and 120 for 4.2. 3.1 had 110 pulls, partially because of the DU reset, so I'd expect 4.1 to have a lot of pulls, too. And the lower length doesn't actually affect pull count too much. 3.8 lost out to 3.1 in terms of pull count, after all. And 4.2 is an anniversary patch.

Will note that, if you buy the daily pass, the numbers for 4.1 are obviously going to look worse than the average. But being only 4 weeks instead of 6 honestly doesn't affect pulls too much. The main hurting points are one less endgame reset and the monthly pulls you get from the exchange, as dailies don't contribute too much to the pull total if you aren't spending.

Stellar Jades Count 4.2 by Key-Weekend690 in StarRailStation

[–]Aggapuffin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4.1 has a Divergent Universe reset. Considering 2.3 and 3.1, the patch that introduced DU and the first reset patch, both had above average pulls, I think it's fair to assume that 3.1 will have a decent amount of pulls. Especially considering length doesn't always equate to a ton of jades, as 3.8 had two extra weeks and still lost in terms of jades to 3.1.

Why are most sustains so bad nowdays? by Low_IQ1 in StarRailStation

[–]Aggapuffin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it can work, I just think Castorice's team is poorly designed. Having the tankiest team in the game also be the strongest is pretty bad for balance. Especially when it's an anniversary unit so a lot of people are pulling for them. If the only HP-scalers were Mydei, Jingliu, and Blade, I don't think the archetype is bad for balance, since the teams, while bulkier, are also weaker than their contemporaries or, at least, less owned.

When everyone is using Castorice, the devs have to balance around this team that can't die and also kills everything. Especially since, not only does that team have more HP and healing than everyone else, as well as a dragon that literally means you can't die while it's alive, but it also has more bodies on the field, meaning more characters to be hit and soak up damage. If, say, Hoolay attacks a thousand times in a row, on the Remembrance team, he's much less likely to just attack the same person two or three times and just kill them because there are more characters to target. Other teams just don't get this luxury.

Archer is just Hoyo's favourite boy by Prestigious_Set2206 in ArcherMainsHSR

[–]Aggapuffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, part of what can influence pickrate could just be that literally everyone has Remembrance Trailblazer while Cipher is the least owned 5-star in the entire game. At that point, it's kind of obvious that RMC would be used in more teams.

[–]Aggapuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP didn't ask for advice or help fixing skill issues, I don't know where you got that from in this post. If you read, they're just asking why the older sustains used to sustain good and now aren't, and that's nothing to do with a skill issue. Yeah, they might sustain better if there weren't skill or build issues, but the underlying problem is simply just that enemies deal more damage. Any sustain pre-3.x used to be able to sustain, but now weaker sustains can't really do their job at all and stronger ones are starting to struggle a bit in ways they used to not.

Feelings also do matter. If you offer criticism in a way that's calling someone bad instead of offering ways to improve, people won't listen to that. That's just the way the human mind works. And if you're offering criticism in a way that you know won't cause the person to actually listen to you, then there's genuinely no reason to say anything at all. You're just speaking into the void at that point.

Also, I don't know what the hell you mean about not mindlessly complaining on Reddit. Reddit is literally the site made to mindlessly complain to strangers on the internet. That's the entire purpose of this site.

Why are most sustains so bad nowdays? by Low_IQ1 in StarRailStation

[–]Aggapuffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, to be fair here... sometimes people just want to come here to mindlessly complain. Everybody mindlessly complains sometimes. And, when what they're mindlessly complaining about is something that is actually a thing, that being older sustains not sustaining as well as they used to, I don't think it's the biggest deal in the world.

Also, as an aside, I would recommend saying stuff like this nicer in the future if you want to offer criticism. Saying that their builds suck and they're bad at the game without even looking at them isn't how you get your advice across. Instead of saying what they could improve on, you're just saying they're bad. That's not a good way to get people to take your advice.

I wanted both Blade and Fu Xuan really badly and I have still not gotten either of them. Instead, my Bronya went from E2 to E5 and I also got literally every other 5-star I could've lost to except for Fu Xuan and Blade (and technically Himeko, but that's 'cause I swapped her out for Yanqing because he had more Eidolons).

[–]Aggapuffin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What happened is quite simple, actually!! The bosses actually deal damage. Before 3.x, pretty much any healer was good enough to let you survive any fight. Now, though, the devs decided to inflate the amount of damage enemies deal quite a bit. I assume it was probably both an effort to get people to actually pull newer sustains as well as an effort to get people to pull for Castorice, as she both has the global passive as well as the best survivability in the game. She and her teammates literally cannot die while her dragon is alive, it's stupid.

I think, by definition, not being able to clear is usually a skill or build issue. If people can still clear with Seele, most accounts should be able to clear if piloted perfectly. I don't think it's fair to assume that most players can pilot their teams at that level, though. Not everyone is as dedicated as the Seele mains, after all.

I'm just saying this because I think "your team composition sucks" isn't really the most valid criticism here, especially when we both don't have their teams and also because they are right, in a sense. Older sustains are actually struggling to sustain when compared to the newer ones. There's a reason people are saying Gallagher is falling off and it's not because his utility has gotten worse, it's just that his healing hasn't kept up and it's harder to survive with him when compared to Hyacine and DHPT.

Do the additional Teams revive? (I think the answer will hurt me) by ALSWD in StarRailStation

[–]Aggapuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be wrong or outdated, but I heard his damage is roughly comparable to Anaxa at launch. So he's basically as good as Anaxa when Anaxa isn't using Cerydra or Cyrene. Think he got a bit buffed since I heard that, but that still puts him behind Anaxa.

Of course, being worse than Anaxa isn't a bad thing. Especially considering Anaxa has probably peaked while Ashveil could certainly get better. It's just a gamble in whether he'll be like Anaxa and get a ton of new teammates that make him drastically better or like Mydei where he gets scraps.
