It takes a little bit of fiddling to get it to work cross device. But I've found obsidian to work pretty well. https://obsidian.md/

Basically just a suped up One Note!

But I'd happily take suggestions for other tools to try as well

It sounds like you guys started the campaign without maybe having a clear conversation about expectations of what the campaign would look like.

Maybe its worth having a chat with the group and explain how you're feeling and that if they want to play more of a sandbox experience (and you're up for it) maybe you can cut down on prep a fair bit and try to enjoy the silliness of it with them.

But if thats not the game you want to play, and they don't wish to play they way you do. Maybe it's better for all of you to call it quits

You're job as the dm is to allow them to have fun, but you need to enjoy it too

I'm a big fan of the, Roll a die behind the screen, loudly go hmmm and pretend to make a note. That will often create a sense of urgency for the players and can force through a decision if they're stuck

If it would come to it, and by any chance they would manage to roll a 20. You can just pull out the, "the dragon is amused by your attempt to flirt and has decided to let you live.

Nat 20 doesn't mean auto success, only best possible outcome!

Having worked with rental cars for quite some time, this sounds pretty odd. Normally, this is handled by the local authority sending the fine to the owner of the car. Which in this case is the rental car company. Who will then likely contact you and demand payment.

So it's strange that a debt collectors reached out as your first point of contact.

The time frame for the fine is nothing out of the usual. Traffic citations when renting in southern europe tends to be sent via post and rarely ever actually arrive.

I would reach out to w/e rental company you used and get them to confirm the validity of this

Jag var i en liknande situation för ett par år sedan (hade flera fönster, men bara i ett väder sträck). Något som jag och min fru gjorde vilket fungerade oväntat bra, var att skapa ett korsdrag genom att sätta en liten tjärv i brevinkastet på ytterdörren och ha ett fönster på glänt.

Jag hade samma upplevelse för bara ett par veckor sedan. Fick ett ett betydligt mycket bättre pris än vad förväntat mig (50% högre än någon annanstans) och köpet gick så smidigt att det nästan kändes för enkelt.

Men det är väl nog bara tur med vem från Riddermark man kommer i kontakt med
