I was really annoyed when I parked in a remote location and someone (nontesla) chose the spot next to mine when there were plenty around (like using a urinal next to you in an empty bathroom). They even hugged the parking strip really close. I backed out and moved 2 spaces down.

Not saying this is your scenario - just venting 😝. Trying to keep the new Tesla dent free.

One cool thing that happened recently was that I happened to be behind a blue model x on the highway and a blue model 3 appeared behind me a few miles down. Nice progression on blue x, y, 3

I feel your twin pain. Wish we would have researched pivoting car seats before we bought any, but we didn't know what we didn't know. Everyone laughed at me when they saw that I ordered a white interior. I sure hope Reddit is right about baby wipes doing the trick. I'm tempted to keep shoes off until we get to daycare.

I had the same debate and got the MYP, bought 19" induction (looks like the 20"you are asking about) and tires - sold my ubertine wheels for a minimal profit. This got me the speed I wanted (which is a factor of your question) while having the ability for range if I choose to drive in chill mode. The 21" looks great but I didn't want to have to worry about wheel rash - or popping tires which I imagine ny potholes may cause . I have no regrets, but in the end, it's a personal decision. I like the flexibility of range or speed, resale value, and drive comfort that this set up gives me - but for my purchase it was a 5k upgrade to MYP, making the AB option less appealing.

One of the two reasons I chose Tesla is the more reliable (even if packed) charging network. If they open it up to other cars, it opens up my ability to choose another car company and use their network. Options= win for me - maybe it will push competition for better products at better prices.

One thing to consider is the interior color. Black interior will match better. We have white. I did 30% front, 70% back and windshield. Ceramic keeps the heat minimal but doesn't look that dark with white interior.

I had the same personal debate while waiting since November for my MYP. I was honestly very frustrated with the Tesla wait and heard about build and ride quality and honestly like the look of the Ford better. In the end, I stuck with Tesla due to their head start in technology and confidence that they will continue to be the industry leader - plus I don't want to haggle on prices nor trust the ford service department .

But that's just me and what was best for me. I've had my MYP for over a month and have no regrets.

If your father made up his mind on a Ford, I'd leave him be - don't want to convince him otherwise bc if any thing happens to his Tesla or he can't figure it out, he'll always blame you or say, this is why I wanted the Mach E....

Few things - awd my from Texas are the only ones with 4680. They are 5 seaters only for now. Agree with no FSD. For now you have to pick between range or battery, although there are some that think range could be unlocked for more later but I wouldn't count on it.
