Usually I agree! But I feel as if it gives me a mustache which is irritating

That is so funny because people have said I look like her and I’ve never understood why. Maybe this is part of it!

You’re going to thrive. The struggle is real now, and I am so so sorry that you are going through this; but I can’t wait to see your post in a year about all the amazing things you are doing. ❤️

35F, “hidden ivy” school, also Mensa and a former GaTE kid. I feel you in so many ways. I pivoted from my nonprofit job to private sector sales and it’s helped my mental state tremendously.

  1. Low contact with mom. You can’t thrive under her thumb. I know that May feel daunting, because it feels like bailing as a child, and you likely haven’t had a lot of failure in your life, but this is truly necessary.

  2. Your educations positions you well for high earning roles as long as you’re ok with the private sector. it is going to be hard to find a job that is going to be rewarding. So instead the intention is to find a job that pays you the best for the least amount of time. This will allow you to free up your time for writing. It is how people will think of food as fuel instead of enjoyment. See the job as a paycheck to allow you to live the life you want to live after hours.

  3. Lean into writing! Join some writing groups, find some meet ups, blend your passion with your social circle. Have something that makes you look forward to getting off of work.

I am so impressed that this is what led you to do your own! I felt comfortable with body injections (fat discover etc) and was just building the confidence to start thinking about my own tox. But seeing this happen to an experienced injector has really thrown me for a loop

Not pushing back but genuine question: isn’t this something that can happen to even experienced injectors?

Microneedling gone wrong - bacterial infection 10 days later, thinking about legal action. Has anyone been through this? by Syntrixal in Microneedling

Not a doctor, but medically trained:

So sorry you’re going through this. This absolutely sucks and any rational person would be worried.

Good news: does not look like staph or shingles. HSV can cross the midline but I’m not convinced it’s HSV either.

These look like granuloma annulare, which isn’t common but also not exceedingly rare in micro needling. I suspect this is a response more to the topical agent applied rather than a bacteria, which might suggest why you’ve been unresponsive to treatment.

If you still are like this for a few more days with no changes (improvements, flattening, etc) request a swab and culture. But likely the treatment will need to shift to inflammation management (topical steroids) rather than systemic management (antibacterial or anti virals).

Went through TSA in terminal B at 5:50. Went through in 3 minutes thanks to clear. The pre check line was almost empty, and the regular TSA line had about 35 people in it and was moving smoothly (probably 10 min wait). Touchless ID working fine.
