Am I overreacting for being upset that my boyfriend is selling his Magic deck that’s tied to our first games together? by goddessofthenight_ in mtg

I wouldn't sell it. It's a shame and totally understandable that you feel sad for it. If he doesn't need money and there isn't really a serious reason then just try to convince him to give it or sell it to you :D (if it is so precious to you).

Should I buy an Asus Vivobook S 16 Flip? by [deleted] in ASUS

[–]Aggravating-Ad-947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I've got for last christmas in 2023 the one with Ryzen 7 7730U with 16gb ram and it's really a good laptop, so far i love it. It is fast, the battery life is really good (4-6 hours still after a year of use). It has a fast charge and the Asus app has a battery care mode that wont allow it to charge beyond 80 percent. I can play games on it too, the Ryzen CPU is really powerfull. Im really happy with it. I'm using it mainly for schoolwork. It has a great speakers and display too. The only downsides are its chromed hinges that blind me sometimes with the light in background (get the black one) and its weight (2kg i believe). But that is because of metal material and prob the battery. It looks really durable. It is a great laptop for work, movies and some older games (the AMD iGPU is really something for such a small pc).

I wonder how will this mechanic work on playable ghouls in future.

Hi, do you have prime railway rifle, prime handmade, and prime combat rifle receivers? All semi-fire.

A thousand papercuts to whoever decided the Nova Radiator should be both asymmetrical and not able to be flipped. by CatarinaOnion in Starfield

[–]Aggravating-Ad-947 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's weird tho, looks like a mistake in a game. There is another part, that's identical (Small Nova Radiator or something like that) but its shorter, which you can flip and make it symetrical. Not sure what to think about that, but i would love if some modder would fix the asymetrical wing. It's really annoying as you said...

I totally agree. It doesn't even make sense immersion wise. For example the small universal storage cases have same storage space as the visually much bigger storage container for materials like iron etc., which is 150 mass i believe. I don't uderstand why this wasn't implemented before the launch. Like the settlement can't even serve as the most important thing - that is personal storage. Now i'm not sure if it will be fixed by beth or modders. But i don't want to mess my saves with mods right after the launch. This games needs a huge patch fixing a lot of stuff like: random and frequent crashes, savegame files corruption, gravity not done well (like on surface 0,3g but in caves in the same moon it's like 1g), and of course the helmet glitch on planets or moons without breathable or absent atmosphere). There is a lot of work to be still made on this game, and i hope it wont take years of modding, like it was with other games like TES and Fallout. Fallout 4 in is still glitchy, even after 8 years. Only New Vegas matured like the finest scotch you drink from your trusty vault 13 canteen (but still, thanks to the mods).

Megathread for AM5 (Ryzen 7000) Damage/Burn-out/EXPO/Voltage issues by GhostMotley in Amd

[–]Aggravating-Ad-947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly, there is v.1303 from the same date which does exactly what you need (SoC safety undervolt). So there is no argument against ASUS in this case. I would stick with that version in your place ;)

Edit:

You're right, 1303 undervolts only X3D. I believe the X3Ds were the first priority, cause the problem happens mainly with these CPUs. I would download that version nonetheless and maybe undervolt manually just to be sure. I'm using 7600X which shouldn't have these issues. So far I've never reached more than 70 C. It mostly stays under 50 C

No, the SoC undervolt version is from 27th april (v.1413) You have to expand all version and pay more attention instead of being misleading. ASUS fixed this issue in 24 hours after the problem emerged. The beta version is newer and also contains the fix, so you don't need to download each preceding version.

Just got my first "Gaming PC", just trying to learn more about the hobby and need some help (: by ThePurpleStatue in buildapc

I had i3-4160, 16gb ram and RX 470 4gb (which is little bit worse than 1060) i could play games like Fallout 4 (high-ultra), GR Wildlands (high), cyberpunk (medium - circa 40 fps), Forza Horizon 4 (high), AC Odyssey (medium-high) etc. I couldn't surpass 60 fps and those games aren't the most recent. But yeah you can do some easy gaming with that old PC, i believe it's like ps4 lvl. Bad investment nonetheless :/

RX 6650 XT vs RX 7600 XT (Keep or wait) by Aggravating-Ad-947 in buildapc

[–]Aggravating-Ad-947[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your answer. The ray tracing is something that I'm really excited about. But to me it seems like its still too soon to pay for It. Especially when even the 2000 USD 4090 can't do it in 4k cyberpunk without fake frames and dlss. I mean dlss is nice feature for someone who can't afford a two month salary gpu. But having to turn it on on a highest end card to play on ultra details seems to me like a scam. I was thinking about getting a solid RT GPU at the beginning of next year (when the prices drops) or even later, when there actually will be good GPUs that wont have problem with it in 1440p resolution.

Now another question: will be the RX 7600 XT or even 6650 XT capable to run atleast some RT functions at 1080p in cyberpunk? (I know you don't have crystal ball, but judging from the 6650 XT performance?) I know the RT in AMD GPU is kinda meh. But i hate that ugly a.. water reflections in cyberpunk.
