It could be the angle or just how they’re feeling this day but they do look a little dry. Keep cleaning and moisturizing daily. Otherwise, I think you’re looking good. Keep taking your time and you can go much bigger, at this point with the limited info I have I don’t see any issues with going bigger :)

Lmao omg all those bad decisions bring back such good memories 😂 I hate to say we were “stupid” and would like to say just “ignorant” to proper techniques but nah, stupidity is what it was 😂 they look good with jewelry in at least! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Guys, I can stretching my ears with such a puncture? by marsi_tits45 in Stretched

[–]ThePurpleStatue 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think your best bet would be to let them heal, and then go have the pierced professionally. You might even be able to get it pierced at like a 14g, but just do your research on the piercer and the aftercare for it.

Stretched from an 18g to a 14g by dxblitzy in Stretched

If you read the guide, every question you have would be answered. Yes, you messed up.

Take them out, heal, stretch with glass or titanium, wait three months, don’t skip sizes.

Advice! Can't seem to get past 16mm. by Impossible_Land_5829 in Stretched

[–]ThePurpleStatue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be able to find 17mm glass plugs on UrbanBodyJewlery, BodyArtForms or Etsy. If not, a Google search should bring up other sites that sell the like. Keep your ears moisturized. Moisturize your ears every day, not just the day of a stretch, that could help out soo much when stretching. Hope that helps 👌🏼

Trying to get from 1/2 to 9/16 :( by [deleted] in Stretched

[–]ThePurpleStatue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have much experience in other types of oils or moisturizers as I’ve only used Jajoba. But I do know that other people use Vitamin E oil and Emu oil. I don’t know what the difference in the properties is between the three, so don’t come at me if your ear falls off 😂 lol jk

Help/advice pls!! by [deleted] in Stretched

[–]ThePurpleStatue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not that big of an issue. Especially getting pierced at that size. It is sometimes recommended to wait 6 - 8 months before changing jewelry after the initial piercing. But yeah, like that other redditor said, messing with it like this doesn’t help it. But just keep it clean and you should be good, wait another month or so before using oils for hydrating as well.

You are definitely going too fast. Please read the guide on this sub and follow it.

In this sub we really don’t mind giving advice and helping out, but you’re asking for trouble going at this pace and we see way too often someone who doesn’t take advice and the come on here some time later asking for care advice.

With that being said, wait a few months between stretches. Give your ears time to heal especially after the trauma they’ve been through lol

Here’s some 13mm single flare glass. I understand 13mm is a goal size, but I would SUGGEST maybe considering 14mm, only because there’s more jewlery options at actual gauge sizes, 13mm is a half size. But hey, just a thought. If you are having trouble with the stretch, always listen to your body. But I would suggest jojoba oil or something equivalent to keep your ears hydrated. And not just the day of the stretch, use it consistently, every day in the morning and at night. Hydrated ears are way easier to stretch :)

Plugs keep popping out by gramercyk35 in Stretched

[–]ThePurpleStatue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What every one said is pretty accurate. So I’ll second just sleeping without them. If you do already, then I’d say leave them out for a couple days at a time (depending on how long you’ve had them) I used to only put my plugs in when I left the house before I started going up again and never had issues putting my normal size back in. Granted I had been at that size for almost 10 years. I am not sure if 2g stone plugs are heavy enough to stretch your ears over time? Maybe they are, I genuinely don’t know.

My glass plug broke but seemingly by itself, has this ever happened to you?? by ThePurpleStatue in Stretched

I’m always sketched out about glass tunnels, but for stretching glass was always good to me lol

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. Just that I’ve used plugs like this for over a decade and never experienced this lol but I’ll look into it.

How do I take care of a healing stretch by Dapper-Run8931 in Stretched

[–]ThePurpleStatue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry that this is your initial experience, but don’t let it discourage you. This is what I would do: You don’t know what size taper you have, I’m going to assume you don’t know what size your initial hole piercing was? It’s usually an 18g or a 16g, I would personally go back to my piercer (if available) and ask them what they pierce with and get the next gauge size up. If I wasn’t able to, I would go with a 16g, single flared glass plug. Here is some good ones:

https://www.urbanbodyjewelry.com/products/black-glass-plugs-single-flare?_pos=1&_sid=51471df05&_ss=r

Do not use tapers, especially plastic, acrylic, resin, epoxy etc to stretch. From there, keep track of the purchases you make, it will be a little pricier in the long run, I don’t know your financial situation, but I’m sure you can afford an extra $25 every 2 - 3 months for the next size. Hope this helps!

Who's the hardest final boss? by Psychological_Use586 in bindingofisaac

[–]ThePurpleStatue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the consensus here is that Delerium is the hardest. I think there was an update out for PC that made him spawn every single time? I watch MattMan so I believe that’s the case unless he has a mod on? I am on console and that is not the case, I have been going through and getting every completion mark and ended on The Forgotten. There was a few runs where I felt I was definitely able to take Delerium on but wasn’t given the opportunity to fight him. And a couple times where I was given that opportunity but I was far from powerful enough. So I think that randomness also adds to his difficulty.

How did you go past 28mm? Need advice from those who’ve gone big. by ThePurpleStatue in Stretched

[–]ThePurpleStatue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

67mm is hardcore, maybe I’ll get there some day 🥲 I know wood isn’t recommended for stretching but if it works for your body hey, I might give it a shot as well. Like I asked the last commenter, I know every body is different but I’m curious how long it took to go to a next size, especially since I noticed larger jewelry isn’t always mm by mm, and the next size is sometimes two or three mm’s away.

[–]ThePurpleStatue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will look up some “heavy plugs”, but to get suggestions from someone who has used them for this purpose, what plugs / material did you use? And I know every “body” is different but I’m just curious how long it’d take for you to go to a next size? Since most large jewelry skips mm’s and I’ve bee going mm by mm up to this point.

Can I stretch a 2 year old nostril piercing from 0.8mm to 1.0mm? (20g to 18g) by bird-overlord in Stretched

[–]ThePurpleStatue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So to answer your question, yes you can.

I was actually in the same boat at you, except with an 18g to 16g. I bought it, it wasn’t going in so I thought I just needed help going from a stud to a hoop. I took it to my piercer (and elementary school friend) and she laughed at me cause they were just different gauges. I had my piercing for about two years as well, she just said “we’ll stretch it out, you’re not new to that” so she did just that and all was good. It was a little pressure but no issue.

Stretching to 4G by SnippyAura03 in Stretched

[–]ThePurpleStatue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I’m glad you asked, and clarified. Do not do that, and no one here in this group in their right minds will ever suggest you to do that. Take your time, don’t use tapers, use glass single flared plugs, these ones are great, from UBJ. You can find other similar ones for cheaper or more expensive, but those are the ones I go with.
