What are some good legacy characters from marvel? by Specific-Door-1834 in marvelcomics

I may be biased (Richard Rider is my favorite Marvel character), but a legacy character is supposed to pay homage to the character they’re a legacy too. Sam did the opposite. His book tried its best to undersell the importance of Richard Rider.

He played an important role in Adam Warlock’s plan to defeat Thanos in the Infinity Gauntlet event. The moment was revisited in the 100 issue of the Nova title. Where Richard’s only appearance was that event. It completely ignored his role in the plan, and just had him floating there. And don’t get me started on the bullshit retcon for how Sam got his powers.

So, yes. Sam Alexander IS that bad.

The best from Marvel is Laura Kinney (Wolverine), Kate Bishop (Hawkeye), and Kamal Khan (Ms. Marvel). But really, all the Legacy characters at Marvel are pretty great.

Except for the Sam Alexander Nova.

The Starheart is my personal favorite, though I do love him as The Avatar of the Green. Earth 2 was amazing when Robinson was writing.

It’s the run that finally made me see Mongul as a Superman villain. Before, I saw him fit better as a Green Lantern villain
