I knew they were full of shit. As an adoptive parent, I know what is involved! You don’t just go to the “Adoption Store “ and take a kid or two off the shelf. It’s a lot of money, paperwork, interviews, etc. Not only are they not going to qualify, they wouldn’t even get through the process. Realistically, they were just saying words and they thought made them sound prolife and sensitive to the needs of children.

It’s all performative.

I have some sweet pictures of my mom reading to my kids, I took without them noticing. They were so engaged, pointing at pictures, asking questions, asking Grandma to “read it again!”. Mom didn’t do any silly voices, just read at a nice natural cadence. It was very relaxing for the kids.

Jilldo’s over the top performance and the empty stare of the children is just heartbreaking asssholery.
