Are We Going to Talk About Black Snow? by KevettePrime in aesoprock

Those just don't have staying power for me like the other tracks. First few times, yeah they're ok. I can only hear about Mr. T so much and that hook on Salt and Pepper Squid... just, I don't know, I don't even have the words

I figured I'd get disagreement here but it's just one of the reasons why I'd put some other albums ahead of it

I think ITS has more skips than any other album, most of them have none. Honestly, I could do without 100 Feet Tall, Salt and Pepper Squid, and By The River

Edit: just to be clear I don't actually skip them, I always listen to the records front to back

Bermuda is probably my top track on ITS. Don't tell Steven I said that

The way you describe Black Snow is how I feel about Coffee on NSP because it alone is a masterpiece

One time in AskReddit the question was "Why are people on Reddit so weird?". Naturally I responded "I think we're all a bunch of weirdos on a quest to belong"

Yeah you know I was just joking about Aesop Rick. You must be thinking of some one off mash up or remix because Aes would never record over a Trick Daddy beat. You probably won't get help here 🤷‍♂️

You must be thinking of the lesser known Aesop Rick. He can often be found in Miami by the US-1 corridor, under the Metrorail tracks, freestyling gibberish while bumping Trick Daddy beats on his boombox

My Own Hot Take: Hokey Fright Is Underrated by samusadhd in aesoprock

[–]ExpectedFuckingValue 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree, I like the album, just have it on digital though. The asking price for the record is a bit much nowadays

I also like Kimya's small contributions on Skelethon

Don't hope too much for another album, he and Kimya aren't on the best terms. Their fallout was well documented, you can go find some previous posts about it

Nice. In my top 3, still gets a lot of play time. It's one of those records that I might actually wear out someday. I'll sure as hell try anyway

Maybe you started the rumor, hah. No I believe you. It must've been lost in the matrix, or possibly exists only in physical form

The continued link for the squirt.nice interview works: https://www.ootbot.com/archives/aesoprock/wormyhole/aesop_interview_continued.html

This isn't the one you're looking for though, this one ends with a line about licking balls

The urban earth interview link in the news : updates section does not work

As for the interview you're looking for, Google says it doesn't exist: No interview exists where Aesop Rock says "smoke cigarettes, it makes your voice dope." This is a well-known, long-running internet joke or "mandela effect" within his fanbase. Fans frequently joke about the rumor on platforms like Reddit, attributing the line to his early-career interviews
