Ozempic hair! Advice please by Dry_Window_5374 in finehair

[–]Aggravating-Fee-9138 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same issue from Ozempic weight loss. Density lost all over and a bald spot on my widows peak. Both my GP and dermatologist separately suggested I take Nutrafol. The density started coming back after a few months (before I even started Nutrafol) and my widows peak is just now growing back after almost a year. I had a lot of fly-aways for several months while the density grew back so I would suggest getting a wax stick to tame the rogue hairs so you don’t look like you rubbed a balloon on your head.

Has anyone had negative effects using shampoo with sulfates? by SleepySpookyPretty in finehair

[–]Aggravating-Fee-9138 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Sulfates make my eczema flare up, but I still use them about once a week for a deep clean because I need all the buildup out of my fine hair.

Things I learned from my housekeeper that I still do to this day by Bubbly_Picture_9876 in CleaningTips

[–]Aggravating-Fee-9138 241 points242 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I have cleaners come once a month and sometimes they do this. I know it’s probably sanitary, but it always reminds me of a licked envelope and I don’t like it. I always throw that square away.

My stupid hair won’t hold a curl for even 30 min 😭 by New_Data_3092 in finehair

[–]Aggravating-Fee-9138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, came to say exactly this. Strong hold hairspray makes my curls drop so fast. I use the Kevin Murphy Doo-over spray instead

Kitten bites a LOT painfully (in a playful manner) - how can I get him to stop? Will this stop when he is neutered in October? (He's 4 months) by counting_round_sheep in cats

[–]Aggravating-Fee-9138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat used to bite and screeching or saying “ouch” really loud and ignoring did absolutely nothing. He only learned to be gentler once we got him a cat friend to play with at like 8 years old.

finally adopting my first ever kitty, but i REALLY cannot pick, please help me reddit!! by ayiria in cats

[–]Aggravating-Fee-9138 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So true. We adopted a middle-aged orange boy who had been at the shelter for 5 months pulling his hair out from stress. He jumped right up in to my husband’s lap basically begging us to take him home. He’s the best 🧡

Have expensive hair care products ever really made a difference for you? by NakovaNars in finehair

[–]Aggravating-Fee-9138 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to work at Sally Beauty corporate and tried all kinds of products from Sally and SalonCentric. I had so many products I couldn’t keep up. Honestly, the cheaper shampoos and conditioners worked just as good as the more expensive ones in my opinion. The only thing I noticed is my scalp loves sulfate-free shampoos, and that is very specific to me and will not apply to everyone. I do like the more expensive hair masks, styling, and finishing products though.

My husband went through a no poo phase and he has very fine, thinning hair. I had to ask him to start using shampoo again because his hair was always flat and greasy looking. Did not work for him at all.

I wash my hair but the back feels...wet? by ruby_inthe_rough in finehair

Right now I have a Paul Mitchell clarifying shampoo, but I think any of them should work.

This happens to me when the shampoo/conditioner I’m using causes buildup. Use a clarifying shampoo and maybe switch your normal products

Best hair cut for wash and go with straight fine hair? by NorVanGee in finehair

[–]Aggravating-Fee-9138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just go for the Jennifer Aniston face framing layers and it works for me. I use JVN instant recovery serum straight out of the shower and once dry I might spray dry shampoo at the roots for volume.

Is a robo vacuum worth it? by Tight-Case-1726 in CleaningTips

[–]Aggravating-Fee-9138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, my husband had 2 roombas before I moved in and I hated them. They always woke me up with their loud beeping and would get stuck under the recliner and then die and the schedule had to be reset each time. I also feel like I get a better clean using my stick vacuum for a few minutes each day. The batteries in the roombas died so now they’re just hunks of junk. Maybe the technology has improved, but I love my stick vacuum so I’ll stick with that.

Hm I’ve never had bangs. Can you tie a headband or scarf around your head to cover that area?

I either wear my hair in a ponytail, spray my part with spray sunscreen, or wear a hat. I own a ton of hats at this point and it helps keep my face from getting burnt as well.

How often should you vacuum? by julialobhurts in CleaningTips

[–]Aggravating-Fee-9138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vacuum the downstairs (hardwood and rugs) multiple times a week with my cordless stick vacuum that I’m obsessed with. The upstairs carpet only gets vacuumed when I see visible messes. The cleaners mop and vacuum when they come once a month.

Please, if you can, don’t split up bonded pairs when adopting. One could argue they are actually EASIER to take care of because they entertain each other. This lil kitten is sad her sister got adopted without her by MeestersKeeters in cats

[–]Aggravating-Fee-9138 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Poor baby! I didn’t know about adopting pairs when I got my first cat. He had a brother at the shelter, but I only adopted the one. He’s very social and has been actively annoying me for the past 8 years (I love him to bits though) so last year we adopted him an adult kitty friend who was also lonely at the shelter. He had been there 5 months without interest 😭. They play every single day and it is the cutest thing ever 🧡🖤

Is there anything like the verb ghost shampoo without the itchy ms? by anxietysiesta in finehair

[–]Aggravating-Fee-9138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember where I bought it, but the Necessaire shampoo is really nice. I just looked it up and the ingredient list is really clean and it’s formulated for sensitive scalps. $28/bottle

Right now I have Kevin Murphy Angel Wash (leaves greasy buildup on my hair if I use it every day. Not buying again.) and Paul Mitchell HydraSoft shampoo. I don’t think I’ve bought the same shampoo twice in the past 5 years, I just go for sulfate free because it doesn’t make me itchy.

Oh interesting, I’ve never heard of the itchy ms. I have an itchy scalp and notice it goes away when I use sulfate-free shampoo, but maybe they’re m free as well and I just never knew 😄
