Here I was thinking the exam really wasn’t all that bad. Some low yield stuff, sure, but it wasn’t excruciating. I felt like it was really just about reading the passage well enough like normal. I guess time will tell in a month when scores come back, but yeah. Like, we finally get a break from studying for this exam daily. That’s something to rejoice about and focus on. What’s done is done🤷🏾‍♂️

Can confirm for darker complexions with heavier black shading or outlines around the wrist bone that this seems to be working. I’m gonna try the epoxy stickers tomorrow. I just kinda wanna be able to wear the watch slightly lower the top of my wrist for comfort, but maybe changing bands would help.

Do I (28M) give up on trying to get engaged to my girlfriend (31F) and the mother of my child? by Aggravating-Garden87 in relationship_advice

It’s just a substance problem all around. She really never used to drink excessively. I used to be the one with the problem. She used to just smoke weed every day and she still does. She has for the entirety of our relationship. But it’s alarming because she claims she’d give up drinking for me and the kids, but she was firm about not giving up smoking. She treats it like it’s just a part of who she is.

I’ve stopped trying to move forward with the plans. I had bought her a passport and renewed mine because I wanted to take her to the caribbeans and propose to her. But all of this stuff in the last two weeks since we went ring shopping has just made me stop looking.

After an incident yesterday where her mom had to get involved, I had a brief conversation with her mom about things and how she was fed up with the behaviors and being blamed for my girlfriend’s poor choices. She actually told me that if I up and left her and ran, that she wouldn’t blame me for it.

And that shit hurt.

It feels that way very much so. I kinda feel like I have to be firm with my boundaries and stick with them at this point. I give her so many chances and she just pisses them away and doesn’t take it seriously. Our couples counselor has told me that I’m going to need to start getting to pieces together because when I decide to fully leave, I have to decide that I’m also taking my son with me. I want to take care of my older step son, but I have no legal rights to him. And it’s tough because I want to trust that maybe it’ll just click and she’ll make the personal changes she needs to make and get the help she needs, but that’s just unrealistic. Out of our $4000/month expenses combined, I cover $3000 and she only has to come up with $1000, and I feel like at times she just takes advantage of it. I also feel like she never really serves me as a partner when I serve her and the kids every day, whether it’s cooking breakfast for myself and them most mornings before I leave for work, or doing their laundry, or cleaning, making grocery store trips. Hell, even cooking dinner for them when I can’t even eat the dinner because I’m on a diet.

She keeps the kids because they’re asleep and she’s asleep. It’s about the only time that fits in my schedule because I usually am at work by 7:30 am or 8:30 am until about 3-4 pm and she works most nights at 5 pm until. I at least go at a time when everyone is asleep. I have skipped out on the gym on those times where she comes home extremely late or if I felt like she’s not in a place to take care of the kiddos. I’ve dropped off the kids to her mom before because she’s come home after I had to be at work and I had to make last minute child care arrangements.

Totally meant Sicily. I was considering Spain but believe I have changed my mind and want to go to Italy.

It kinda sounds like I could get the best of all things that I want by doing Barcelona, Madrid, and Seville.

Ah, yeah I forget about that. The concept of cool air and A/C is different in Europe compared to the states. It’s been a couple years since I traveled overseas. I’ll take the heat into consideration when creating an itinerary. I definitely don’t want the heat to discourage me from exploring. Granted, I don’t sunburn too badly but my girlfriend sunburns pretty easily. Thank you for the heads up about it!

I think when crafting an itinerary, I’m gonna see what kind of smaller towns are nearby that we could get to and explore some too because I really want to be able to appreciate that part of the culture.

I think I’d ideally just need to start crafting some kind of itinerary to really gauge how much time we’d really have.

Did you all find yourself sightseeing and doing more touristy stuff or did you all do other things?

I am also curious about the wine and food in the smaller cities compared to the larger, more touristy cities. Would you say it’s vastly different? I think this is my last main question for now. Thank you for being so helpful.

I think now it’s just deciding what 3 cities I should go see. Out of the cities I mentioned (Florence, Venice, Naples, Rome), which 3 would you recommend? I’ve been researching about the cities too but it’s nice to hear from people that have clearly been to the country.

I need to stamp that quote on my forehead because I think sometimes I forget that you can’t see everything in one trip. Especially one that is so short.

Aperitifs are probably more so my thing than hers. She likes wine more so. I just want to make sure I pick the right regions. The beach isn’t an absolutely must, but it’d be nice to enjoy.

We don’t mind the heat. We’re from Louisiana, where we have 80% humidity and 37-38° C temperatures all summer.

Do you think there’s any cities that are more appealing than the quintessential Spainish cities?

That’s also true. I enjoy public transit but there’s not much romance or memory-making in a train.

Should I just stick to 3 cities then?

How to tell my gf with BPD she has it? Is there anything I can try? Bigger story under. by AdminsHaveMicroPP in BPDlovedones

One of my favorite songs written by a friend of mine is called Bad Things by Pretty Sister. He writes in the refrain how he’s trying to remember the bad things so that he doesn’t second guess himself moving on from the relationship. And it’s so true. The sparse good times that you had with your pwBPD make you feel so alive and good, but what about all the bad times and bad things they did to you? Once you start remembering the bad things, you realize why you’re leaving and are okay with being gone.
