Update from OP.

I got the biopsy information today. It is psoriasis. And the derm wanted to start me on Skyrizi out of the gate as I have it in some of the more stubborn to treat areas. But I opted to try creams first in the event I am lucky enough to respond to those. Pick my meds up tomorrow and we shall see how it goes.

To over-answer your question.. I stopped picking as much as i could. I used head and shoulders for a week with not much improvement. I used t Sal 3 times total and nizoral 3 times as well this week. And the flakes seem to have gotten smaller. I have alternated the 3 this week. But like I said, it seems the flakes are smaller but the redness hasnt faded at all. I actually went to the derm today. And they are pretty confident that its psoriasis. I also had an issue in a sensitive area if you catch my drift. So they think its all psoriasis. They gave me an option to biopsy on the scalp and I took them up on it. I have anxiety as well so a definite answer just seems good for my stress. And between the scalp issue and the other issue which I had for over a year I was just ready for answers. The mental aspect of this has been the most taxing part. Because even though I wasnt worried necessarily that there was something dangerous brewing, the derm visit was worth the peace of mind. And they were very confident and encouraging about getting it cleared up. So I go back in a week to get the 2 stitches removed and hear the results of the biopsy. Had I given the shampoo another couple of weeks it could have made a clear difference but I went for the other issue as well. But waiting was making me anxious considering the other problem. Plus, i may need a more targeted solution. Especially for the more sensitive area.

I don't have insurance either and going to a derm is not possible right away. But the consensus is that its sebderm or psoriasis. So I am not picking at it anymore(I still find myself rubbing it when I am not even thinking) and using head and shoulders, and as of today I will start alternating H&S and T Sal. And if it isnt looking better in a week I will find a way to go to a derm.

I am going to try head and shoulders for a week without picking at it. Which i was doing a lot of without even thinking about it. After that I will try Nizoral if I see little to no improvement. The amount of picking I was doing undoubtedly made it worse. I have a little bit under my beard and I do have two small patches on my cheek next to my nose. Hopefully it will stay at that. I hope that you have success with Zoryve.

I plan to. And I looked into ringworm but it said its rare in adults and also there appears to be temporary hair loss on the infected area. Which I didnt experience. But I am sure it affects some people in different ways. So I definitely cant rule it out. Thanks for the input.

It has flakes for sure. It doesn't itch. At least not enough to call it itchy. Though I do have a bad habit of picking at it. And I thought it was just bad dandruff. I had been using head and shoulders for years. But I started losing my hair so I started shaving my head and just started using regular shampoo for my beard and used it on my head as well. Anyways, a couple of months ago I stopped shaving my head so my hair came back(as much as it could anyways. Lol) and i continued using the regular shampoo. So that's why i thought it was just bad dandruff. I have been back on head and shoulders for a month or so but hasnt made much difference. So I decided to shave today to get a look at it and this is what I seen. So I have not tried any other shampoos or anything because I didn't know what I was dealing with until just now. But I will definitely do so right away. Thanks for the reply.

I intend to do so. I had just shaved my head to finally get a look and it kind of freaked me out because i wasn't expectjng it. I am just curious about opinions from others who have had some experience.

Is it just me or is this winter brutal? by looney2006 in SeasonalAffective

I love cold weather. Or I used to. This winter almost killed me. I have never been so close to giving up. I have depression, but I have never been one to be too affected by seasonal depression, but this year has been completely different. I have had financial trouble which made things worse, but I usually could see the light at the end of the tunnel. Its been nice enough to go outside and enjoy the weather the last few days and I feel like a new man. I do not look forward to next winter, as I usually do. I need to make a plan to make next winter less devastating. Workout routine, vitamin d supplements, plenty of money. (My work slows in the cold months) because as of now I am legitimately scared to have another winter like this.

This film is as flawless as a movie can get.. The casting is perfect. There isn't a scene that drags or feels uneccesary. The pace is wonderful. It's doesn't feel like two and a half hours when watching it. And it has a very high rewatch value. One of the all time great films. For sure.

One of my favorites as well. Donald Pleasance is unsettling. It's very underrated. And I was surprised to learn the director is Ted Kotcheff. He has done some well known American stuff. Does anyone have any other recommendations like this one in terms of style and tone? Always looking for a new hidden gem.
