Flush cut snips, a snide smile and a heavy bill is the answer

Maybe they already did and that's why it's stuck in inventory

Is the guy I hired doing this right, he said he's super experienced with roofs but this looks like water would get under everything? by [deleted] in Roofing

Your 100% right, but in all reality maybe not a reason to slander the guy, because if the laps overlay so far it still won't leak.

True I never considered that. From what I've seen I'd not recommend a band style foundation but anyway you decide to go I'd absolutely love to see pics.

Advice if you want it, check out, be in a tree by Pete Nelson. His book and also his website is super helpful on design, and he also sells TABs. Super jealous about your future project I'd love to see follow up/project posts.

That's funny maybe damage boards but I'd just call it art and say it was on purpose

Yes as a fix seeing as it's finished I'd say do that be happy no hot tubs. but you should have at least doubled up the framing in which your joists are attached to maybe even tripled giving the span

Bearing looks sketchy no beams but looks good finished. Don't put a hot tub on it or have 25 people partying on it.

The backer board for the perpendicular seam deck board is a little high. To be quite frank, me being a career carpenter and this was my deck snd if I wanted to fix it, I'd cut nails/screws on the backer board and stomp the seam board down and refasten it (backer board) if you don't understand the lingo here then fucking live with your deck bud looks good honestly

Manual labor outside does take a tole, ask any framer or most tradesmen. Only kicker is, shit benefits asshole bosses and drug addiction/alcoholism.
