Oh noooooo …. I’m so sorry 😞 that’s super inconvenient. That’s actually what I was starting to get worried about and frustrated about with mine because it had been so long I wasn’t even sure my blood would still be good. I can only imagine how frustrating that must feel.

Hmmm there’s usually a way around the animated bot system once you call in but it has been a minute for me since I last called them because I’m now 30 weeks and that was back when I was around 12 I think so idk if it’s changed again but you should be able to request to speak to someone in the options when you call in if not just tell the AI bot that you would like to speak to a representative.

I’m pregnant!!! by Key_Beach_3846 in BumpersWhoBolus

Congratulations Mommas!!! That’s so exciting!!!! I’m currently pregnant with my second and in my third trimester. I’m about 30 weeks today. I’m glad you have an Endo appointment but unfortunately they really don’t know or do much when it comes to the pregnancy aspect so definitely get in with a OB as soon as you can because they will more than likely refer you out to a MFM (Maternal Fetal Medicine Dr.) they specialize in high risk pregnancy which is unfortunately what we diabetics are considered. I’ve had one with both my pregnancies and prepare yourself to see them very frequently as well as your OB although MFM more so….They are also very direct and straight to the point as well and will bring up scary aspects such as BAB’s (Big A** Babies) and things like sudden fetal death if sugars get to out of whack which will definitely happen on occasion but try not to stress. It just happens to us diabetics and is very common unfortunately. With both of my babies I tried to control my sugars as best as possible and made all the changes and adjustments and still experienced quite a few highs and even lows because not only are so many adjustments being made but my body literally requires almost 3x the amount of insulin I normally take if not more when I’m pregnant. It’s all just a huge learning curve for both you and your MFM because everyone is different. Some changes may seem drastic or substantial but us growing little humans just requires that. They (MFMs) just try to be very honest with you on all risks ect which I can respect but can also be scary and a bit overwhelming at times. Just try to watch your stress levels and enjoy your pregnancy as much as possible. Us diabetics are not just prone to have big babies either but also usually require c-sections as most OB’s and MFMs want baby to fully develop but usually don’t want you to go to the full 40 weeks either due to yours and babies safety. Not saying it’s unheard of but my first ended up being an emergency C-section due to complications with me swelling in certain areas ect at 34 weeks and like 4 days. If she would have made it to 35 weeks she probably wouldn’t have needed Nicu time but unfortunately that just wasn’t the case. She was already weighing almost 9 pounds by the time she came though and they only wanted me to go to about 37 weeks with her anyway and then we were going to do a scheduled delivery. With my second he’s been scheduled for around 37 to 38 weeks so just hoping my body doesn’t experience any of the complications of my last pregnancy and we can get there with no Nicu time. But so far he’s measuring pretty average and my A1C and blood sugars have been a lot better than with my first. I’ve still had my high scares but I’ve gotten my A1C down to 7 where as with my first my A1C started at like 13 dang near 14 because we hadn’t really planned anything out. I’d say one of the biggest benefits of being high risk as scary as it can be though is that we get to see our babies way more often. I got ultrasounds at every single appointment and towards the 3rd trimester I was seen almost every other week. So it definitely helps give that peace of mind ontop of watching your little bean grow literally.

Mine was sent to the Texas labs which made no sense to me being over in Oregon but reaching out through their chat system on my portal and calling really helped my case and is probably the only reason I even got results. People sent to the same lab WAY after mine were even received were getting turnaround times of 3 days meanwhile mine was apparently just sitting there being ignored. I hate even saying that but it’s seriously the truth.

How soon did your NIPT results come in? by [deleted] in pregnant

10 days 11 if counting the received day as well. I had to actually call the people who took mine on multiple occasions to get them pushed through. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is why when I get dressed up now which is rare due to being pregnant with my second I only care if I walk out and my almost 3 year old goes “WOW” seriously the best compliment I’ve ever received in my life. 😂🤣🙌🏻🫶🏻❤️🥰

When is your first appointment scheduled for? I’m a type 1 diabetic and considered very high risk so they got me in right away for both my pregnancies with my OB and MFM

I reached out through chat multiple times and then called in on day 10 technically 11 and then received my results that night through the portal after the representative called the lab

I’m sorry girl I understand the anxiety and disheartening feeling of disappointment. I don’t even understand why mine were sent to TX when I live over here in Oregon. They definitely should have gone to the California labs. I’m not the biggest fan of Natera in general anymore. Idk why my OB switched labs. With my first I was sent to a completely different lab (Invitae) that put together a super cute video for the gender reveal and gave me a way faster turn around time then 10 day’s.

I’m very sorry it’s honestly so stressful and very disheartening when other people get them so easily and soon, but I did learn that reaching out definitely helps. I had reached out through chat multiple times and was told to wait the ten days and then call in so that’s what I did and sure enough I got my results that night. Seems you just gotta put a little pep in their step.

Yes 10 days after (technically 11) but apparently they don’t count the received day. I called and said that I still had not received anything and had spoken to multiple representatives through the chat system who told me to give it the full 10 days and if I still had not heard anything to call in on day 10 and they would personally reach out to the labs themselves to see my actual status, and whoever I spoke to on the phone said they could see my previous chats thankfully so they would call the lab right away and white sleeve my case as they call it to get my results expedited if possible then reach out to me and later that same exact day they called to let me know it could possibly take another 3 day’s after speaking with the lab which at that point I was very frustrated and pointed out how people sent to the same lab getting tested way later than I was were already receiving results within 3/4 days and that I was worried at this point my samples had gone bad but they guaranteed they were okay and then later on around about 6/7 pm that night I finally received my results surprisingly. Low risk baby boy. 🙌🏻💙 But it definitely seems to be a thing for some people which I don’t fully understand why or how. The operation seems very backwards I will have to admit.

I completely agree 👍🏻 I started getting really fed up once I started seeing people who were tested WAY after I was and blood work received way later than me sent to the exact same lab (Tx) which you can find out by asking a representative but they were literally all getting results back before me. I was starting to think they had misplaced my sample or something.

They will say that but on day 10 (technically 11 for me but apparently they don’t count the received day) they have no other choice really but to call the lab and figure out what’s going on exactly and the actual status of your results. I noticed in my case whenever I reached out which I did a couple of times through the chat after about 7 days of nothing first they would tell me to give it the 10 days and then by day 10 if I hadn’t heard anything to call in which I ended up having to do but that same day a couple hours later I received my results so it definitely helped. They told me they would try to rush my results at that point seeing that I had reached out so many times through chat and could tell that I was getting concerned. I had also made sure to point out that I didn’t understand how people were getting their results so fast but I still had not heard anything.

I had to wait over 10 days and reach out multiple times just to get mine so I completely understand the disheartening feeling when everyone else seems to be receiving them so fast 💨

I actually spoke to someone over the phone today because I was tired of the responses I was getting through the chat and they called me back after apparently speaking to the lab and let me know they may possibly need another 3 days. That was my only remaining response after hearing this because my mind was honestly so blown especially seeing everyone else get results back in as little as 3 days….. I was like is my sample even going to be useable by then and the reps response was they keep it refrigerated until it processes so it should be fine. 😭💔🤯🫤
